PSAT/NMSQT at VALHALLA
Attention Juniors/Sophomores: Sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams
AP Exam ordering begins this week and ends on November 4th!
- Order forms are available from your AP teacher as well as the Finance Office.
- Students must be registered in AP Classroom in order to purchase an exam. Ask your AP Teacher to verify AP Classroom registration.
- Exam payment must be submitted in person at the Finance Office before 4:00pm on November 4th to avoid the $40 late fee (per exam).
- Additional details can be found on the AP page of the VHS website.

Infinite Campus/Parent Portal
Parent Portal is your access to the district's school information system. An account was created for you when you completed your registration. If you need support using the portal, check out these resources:
Please Clear Absences within 72 Hours
Student absences must be cleared within 72 hours of the day of absence in order for them to be excused. Call the all day absence line (619) 593-5333 leave a detailed message with your student's name, ID number, date of absence, and reason for absence.
To bypass voicemail:
- press 1 for early release
- press 2 for all-day absence.
College Application Workshops This Week
Seniors, are you applying to any UC or CSU campuses next year? We are hosting application workshops this week specifically for these two university systems to help you navigate each app and learn common mistakes to avoid. We will review tips to strengthen your applications and leave time for individual questions. We highly recommend you have accounts created beforehand. See below for workshop dates and links to get started on your applications.

Azusa Pacific On the Spot Admissions Event
Azusa Pacific University will be on campus this Tuesday, October 15th from 10:30am-12pm to do an on the spot admissions event. They will be sharing information about the campus and giving you the opportunity to apply on the spot. You will get an admissions decision before the end of the event! If you are interested, please sign up here by Monday.
Introducing CaliforniaColleges.edu
We are excited to announce a new college and career planning platform to all of our Valhalla students called CaliforniaColleges.edu (CCGI). We will be using this tool with all grade levels to help students explore their options after high school. Please read this letter for more information.
Seniors, if you are currently applying to four year universities, we highly encourage you to register your account if you have not already. CCGI will allow you to link all of your academic data, saving you a lot of time! Come see us in the counseling office for help or see the tutorial videos linked below.

College & Career Representative Visits are starting!
Throughout the semester, we will have a variety of college representatives visiting Valhalla to meet with our students. Visits are held in the counseling office, unless specified, and students of all grade levels are welcome to attend. Just visit our College and Career Reps Visit page and fill out a quick Google Form to sign up. Students will be sent a pass to attend and are responsible for communicating with teachers regarding any missed class time/work. See below for upcoming visits this week:

Future Fest
Future Fest is coming up next Saturday, October 19th at Cuyamaca College from 9am-12pm. This is a district sponsored college and career fair, where students can meet reps from over 50 different colleges, career schools, and military branches. There will also be a number of college, financial aid, and career workshops. This event is open to all grade levels and it's a great opportunity to explore your future plans after high school.
