To all the parents who visited for American Education Week, thank you! We loved having you here.

The staff and students of Groveland Elementary School, along with the local community, will soon be working together to collect donations for our Groveland families. Together, through the “Holiday Giving Project”, we can realize that the real joy of life comes from sharing with others.

“Holiday Food Pantry”

The Holiday Food Pantry allows families to experience a wonderful holiday meal.

Parents can help with this by donating a gift card for a local grocery store or by sending in a monetary contribution towards the purchase of a gift card. No donation is too small. There will be tags on the Giving Trees specifically for food pantry gift cards. The gift card/monetary contributions will be collected from November 18th to December 16th. Checks should be made payable to the “Groveland Student Activity Account”.

“Holiday Giving Grove”

We invite you to visit and participate in Groveland’s “Giving Grove”. Starting November 18th, there will be Giving Trees decorated with gift tags displayed in the school’s lobby. Each gift tag will be numbered, have a child’s age and gender on it. If you would like to support this project, please take a gift tag from one of the Giving Trees and return a wrapped gift with the gift tag securely attached to the package.

Dates to Remember:

November 18 The Giving Grove begins. Gift tags will be available.

Nov 18 - Dec 16 Gift cards/Monetary donations.

December 16 All gifts should be placed under the giving trees in the main lobby.

December 18 Distribution of gifts to families.

Get your PJs ready! On Wednesday, December 4, Groveland will once again be participating in Pajama Day to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia! Students can wear their favorite pajamas to school (no slippers, please)! Donations for CHOP can be made by cash or check on December 4 or online anytime at https://chop.donordrive.com/campaign/GrovelandCHOPPJDay2024.

In honor of Education Support Professionals Day on Nov. 20, many of our district and school admins came together to share their gratitude for the immense contributions of our support staff members across various departments and roles on behalf of schools and students. From ensuring our buildings are safe and clean, to providing meals, transportation, and technology support, to assisting and caring for our most vulnerable students in our classrooms and beyond—these team members are the heart of our district!
