SURRARRER ELEMENTARY WEEK AHEAD
For the weeks of May 20 - 24, 2024
We had a great week at Surrarrer! Our fifth graders visited Strongsville Middle School as well as the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds for a career expo put on by Polaris Career Center. Students were able to experience a plethora of careers and have hands-on activities to do. Our kindergarten students had a wonderful day at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and, on Friday, our PTA sponsored assemblies by the Akron Zoo! In addition, our fifth grade band and orchestra students performed for parents and the students on Thursday and did a fabulous job! I am so proud of all of our students and it is always a great time when they get to show off their talents!
There is always so much for our students to experience and these last several days are packed full of activities! Next week is our final week of school. We will have field day on Tuesday, fifth grade promotion on Thursday and then end of year parties on Friday. Just a reminder that Friday is an early release day with students being dismissed at 2:05 pm.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Have a great week!

LOST AND FOUND
We have an abundance of items that have been lost and we would like them to be found before the end of the school year. In the front lobby of Surrarrer we have coats, hats, gloves and other items that have been left in the school or on the grounds. If your child is missing something, please check the lost and found by Thursday, may 23. On May 24, we will box up the items and donate them.

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
May Focus: Be Safe; Be Respectful; Be Accountable
In May, we will be focusing on students following all three of our expectations of being safe, respectful, and accountable in their daily actions and interactions at school. Each classroom will set goals and determine what they are working towards this month. Our students have done a wonderful job and earned enough tickets in April for us to have the staff vs 5th grade students kick ball game!
