Pleasant View Families,

Most of this newsletter is dedicated to PTA. I encourage you to join this amazing organization! Before I get to their information, I do have a few items.

Thank you for the help with Parent Pick-Up. It is definitely going more smoothly. There are still some questions about meeting students. If you live in the back of the building and want your child to walk and meet you at the exit, they may do so. You need to let your child's teacher know they are walking as their primary method for getting home.

If you are picking up and want to get out of the car to meet your child on campus, this is when you will meet at the fire hydrant on the east side of the building. We will open the gates for you to enter the grounds at 3:50. Please do not walk through the staging area for the vehicle pick up loop.

Also, please NO dogs. We cannot have them on campus or around the students. Thank you for the understanding and cooperation.

Please note that we DO NOT have a crossing guard at Gondola and Black Cat. Anything west of Black Cat is a bus zone due to the safety concerns of the speed of the road. Please utilize the bus if you live on this side of the boundaries.

I know I keep stating this, but we really cannot tell you how much your support and positive comments have meant to us. We are continuing to make progress on our construction items and getting students into their routines. The smiles and stories we receive from your children are the highlight of the day. Thank you for sharing them with us and trusting us with their care and education.

Water fountains in the classroom and halls have been turned shut down. The WATER BOTTLE FILLERS are operating. Students will be encouraged to fill their water bottle and keep in the classroom. Please send a water bottle with your child's FIRST and LAST name. These will be sent home daily for cleaning.

All visitors are required to sign in at the office and obtain a visitor's sticker. This included parents who are visiting the school grounds. However, due to the Yellow Status and the concerns with COVID, there will be no visitors to the classrooms or for lunch or recesses. Parents are welcome to come to the office to bring students to school following an appointment to check them in or to check them out early.

If there is a reason for you to be in the building or on the grounds, you will need to check in with the office. The district uses the Raptor System for all visitors. If you have already entered your information into the Raptor System in past years, please feel free to scan your Driver's License to receive your visitors pass. If you have not completed this process, you will need to see the front office for support the first time you visit.
