CAS is proud to be honored by the ADL Education Program as a No Place for Hate for the 2023-2024 school year!
Learn more about PTO volunteer opportunities!
Please join us on TONIGHT, 7pm at 121 Greenwood Ave in Madison. At this informal backyard get-together, you’ll learn more about how you can help make the CAS experience the best it can be for your children and for yourselves…all while making new friends in the community.
Field Day Is TODAY, June 7th! 🏅🥇
Today is the much anticipated CAS Field Day! Students and Staff will have a fun-filled morning of team-building games and Rainbow Italian Ice! Students should dress comfortably, wear sneakers & sunscreen, and bring a labeled water bottle. In addition, students should show good sportsmanship and most importantly, HAVE FUN!
This week’s Bike Road-eo was a huge hit! 🚴
Our children learned about proper bike and helmet safety, decorated their bikes, and even had a police escort around the parking lot! Huge thanks to the Madison police department and all of the volunteers who helped make this event extra special.
📕📘 Congrats, Battle of the Books Winners! 📗📙
Congratulations to the winners of our Battle of the Books. The winning team was the "Book Battlers" which was Nicholas Page, Alexander Gallardo, Vivian Mazzacano, Vera Ponce Ratner, and Lucy Lemon. Way to go!!!
Congrats Team Robix and all STEAM TANK Challenge Participants!
This year students in our Gifted and Talented program participated in the STEAM Tank Challenge. It is based on the TV show, Shark Tank. For STEAM Tank, students brainstorm a new invention, modify an invention, or come up with a new or better process.
We had four teams participate:
- Team Chrome Padz: Buna Morina, Natalie del Valle, and Olivia Harter
- Team Poop Be-Goners: Isaac Meshki, Michael Lavaroni, and Ronin Kochoa
- Team Chromebook Sleeve: Haru Kushida, Lucas Ryckman, Ezra Lewis, Nathaniel Liang, and Owen Cook(KRS)
- Team Robix: Takuro Auzins, Greg Morales Aizpun, Cooper Lee, and Vikrant Anand
We were very happy and proud that all of our teams made it to the regional round of judging and very excited that Team Robix made it to one of the final rounds. Team Robix came in 4th place out of 170 elementary teams! Team Robix is an alternate team in case one of the top three teams is not able to participate for the final live presentation in the fall. Their idea was to use VexGo robots to clean the lunchroom faster. They 3D designed an attachment for the front of the unit and coded the robot to push garbage to one location. Their hard work and persistence paid off. Congratulations Team Robix!
Congrats to this Years Golden Tray Winners!!
Congratulations to the Golden Tray Winners at lunch! Pizza parties this year were won by the classes of Ms. Kalynovych (Kindergarten), Ms. Tremont (1st grade), Ms. Mikula (2nd grade), Ms. Attilio (grade 3), and Ms. Manley (grade 4). Well done!

Please return your children’s library books!
Friendly reminder that the CAS library is now closed for the Summer! All books MUST be returned to their homeroom teachers!
Settle up Your Lunch Balances
Letters regarding Pomptonian Lunch Balances went out this week. CAS does not control the Pay Schools Central and parents will need to log into the system to set up their own alerts and payment methods. These balances and other fines, such as library books need to be paid by the close of the school year (June 20) or class placements for next will not be shared and the Genesis Portal will not be opened to those families who owe money. See the screenshots below for pay school central and how to set up alerts! If a family requires financial assistance they should contact the school and complete a free and reduced application.
