I want to take a moment to thank the staff, students and families for making the West Freehold School community a truly special one. I am grateful and proud to serve as your principal. I wish you all a Happy and Healthy New Year, and am excited for what 2025 has in store for our amazing school!

Freehold Township School District’s Board of Education voted to proceed with a bond referendum, with the vote planned for Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The proposal includes improvements that would increase safety and security and bring much-needed building updates to every school. A voter-approved bond referendum is the only way to capture state aid for these necessary improvements.

A dedicated referendum website is one of the opportunities the district will take to inform every member of the community about the importance of this vote.

When picking up students for parent pick up, please be sure you are parking in the designated parking spaces. Please do not park on the grass.

We'd like to remind everyone that breakfast is available for purchase in the cafeteria for all elementary school students. The menus are here. Students can go directly to the cafeteria when they come to school and grab a meal to bring to their classroom. All students who receive free lunch are also eligible to receive free breakfast. Regular price for breakfast is $2.05 and will be billed through the student's mealtime account.

Students dropped off for breakfast may enter the main doors at 7:45 A.M.

As the cold weather season is upon us, it's essential for children to dress warmly for outdoor recess. Encouraging students to wear layers, hats, scarves, gloves, and warm coats will help keep them comfortable and safe while they enjoy outdoor activities. It's also a great idea to remind them about wearing proper footwear to prevent slipping and to stay dry in snowy or wet conditions.

Students are permitted to bring cellular phones to school. Cell phones also shall include all other

electronic devices providing text messaging (Smart Watches) All phones and other electronic devices shall be turned off and placed in lockers or backpacks while the pupil is in school or at a school-sponsored event.

We wish our LDS Family a wonderful New Year and New Beginning at Laura Donovan School! We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the students and staff from LDS! We are going to miss them and we are thankful for the opportunity to work with the amazing LDS Third and Fourth Grade Students.

West Freehold School's PTO is focused on supporting our school to provide further enrichment and additional experiences for our students. However, we cannot do that without your support and participation!
