LCPS and RRD Event Calendar
We're excited to share the new LCPS and RRD Event Calendar for the 2024-2025 school year! This calendar includes important dates, events, and activities designed to enhance our students' educational experience. Please review it carefully and mark your calendars. We look forward to another fantastic year of learning and community engagement.
This is just an overview for the year. We will continue to share the important dates with times in the section above and more detailed information about events when they are closer.
There may be changes on the calendar throughout the year. We will be sure to update it and put out the changes.
Stay Connected and Informed
Exciting news! LCPS has launched a new app designed to keep families connected and informed with just a tap. The app allows users to conveniently access documents, news updates and emergency notifications in one place. It’s a must-have for students, families and staff, and is available for download from the Google Play or Apple App Store (just search for “Loudoun County Public Schools”). With this mobile-responsive tool, you can receive important updates directly from your school and stay informed on the latest features. The LCPS website and app also offer a centralized feed for all division news, events and announcements, providing a reliable way to stay updated than relying on multiple social media sites.
Safety and Security
As part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and visitors at Rolling Ridge, we ask that you please take a moment to view the LCPS Safety and Security Video. The information shared in this video is vital to ensure we are all informed and prepared to handle any potential situations that may arise.
Your support and understanding in making safety a priority for our community are greatly appreciated.

The event will start at 6:00pm and they will be performing their 2024 Halftime show as well as stands tunes and drumline show. This event is open to the public and we will be asking for donations at the door to help support the Marching Force. There will also be concessions available by our Park View Band Boosters.

Reminder
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
As we continue to prioritize safety for all of our students and staff, we want to remind you of some important procedures regarding arrival and dismissal:
Tardy Students: If your student arrives after 7:30 a.m., please ensure you walk them directly into the main office.
Early Dismissals: For the smooth flow of dismissal, please note that no early dismissals will be allowed after 2:00 p.m.
Dismissal Protocols:
- Car Pick-Up: If you are picking up your child in a car, please use the gym side of the building. It is important that you remain in your car and follow staff directions to keep things safe and efficient for everyone.
- Walker Pick-Up: Only parents who walk from their homes (without driving) should pick up their students as walkers. For safety reasons, we discourage parking on the street and collecting your child as a walker.
Your cooperation in following these guidelines helps ensure the safety of all our students during these busy times of the day. Thank you for your continued support!
