WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL
2024-2025 Student Handbook
Please take a moment to read the 2024-2025 Student Handbook so you and your student are aware of the policies and procedures at SCES.
4th Grade Parent Luncheon
The 4th Grade Parent Luncheon will be held August 30, 2024 at 12:00 in the SCES Lunchroom. You will park at the gym and in grassy field by the football stadium and enter the building at the gate between the 49 building and gym. The gate will open at 11:35 so you can join your child in his/her classroom and walk with him/her to the lunchroom.
Parent Conference/Indian Information Night/Family Game Night
On September 5, 2024, Individual Parent Conferences will begin at 3:30. At 5:30, the Indian Information Night will be held in the auditorium. Following the information session, Seminole Family Connection will host Family Game Night in the lunchroom. RSVPs are due August 22, 2024! You will receive extra tickets for the drawings if you attend the conference and the information session.
Heritage Day/Hardee's Spirit Night
Heritage Day will be September 6, 2024 from 8:30-11:00! We invite all of you to attend this fun event with your student. Afterwards, please attend our Hardee's Spirit Day from 11:00-2:00. Whether you go through the drive-thur or come inside, be sure to put your child's teacher's name on the receipt and submit it to the cashier. The class with the most participation will win a party from Hardee's. 20% of the proceeds earned during this time will be donated to the school!
Important Information
Checking In/Checking Out
Please bring your Driver's License in when you are bringing a child into school late or checking him/her out early. This step has been added as a safety measure!
Leader in Me: MRA Survey for Families
The Leader in Me is a curriculum used to teach staff, students, families and our community the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Please complete this survey in order to support the path of instruction for the students at SCES. Click the link to take the MRA Survey for Families.
Attendance Policy and Procedures
Attendance is crucial for all students! Over the summer, our Attendance Team met with members of the Department of Juvenile Justice, DFCS, the Sheriff's Department, and the Superior Court to develop a policy that ensures students are in school and learning everyday!
