The Weekly Update #4
December 5th, 2024
Bringing the Vision to Life at Academy at the Farm!
Exciting Progress continues on the New High School.
Preschool
Primary
As we prepare to head into the Winter Break, I want to take a moment to reflect on what a wonderful start to the school year we have had in the Primary Community. Watching your children grow, learn, and build meaningful relationships in our Primary school community has been a joy. The enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work inspire us every day.
As the holiday season approaches, we are thrilled to share that our Primary children have been busy spreading Christmas cheer. The children have been engaged in a variety of festive activities to celebrate this special time of year, from creating holiday crafts to learning cheerful Christmas songs.
The first part of the year has been filled with accomplishments, both big and small. From academic milestones to moments of kindness in the classroom, your children have made us all proud. We are grateful for your continued support, which plays such a vital role in their success.
As we transition into the Winter Break, I hope this time provides your family with opportunities to rest, reconnect, and create cherished memories. May it be filled with joy, happiness, and laughter.
We look forward to welcoming you back on Tuesday, January 7th ready to embrace all the exciting opportunities in the second half of the year. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for being such an integral part of our school community.
Wishing you a wonderful Winter Break and a Happy New Year.
Reminder: Primary K-2 Caroling in the Courtyard Friday, December 20th at 9:30
First Grade kicked off Thanksgiving Break with a Color Express painting experience and a balloon parade before enjoying a picnic lunch with families.
Intermediate
Intermediate’s kindness committee visited Miss Lauren’s class this morning to give the preschooler's some ideas on how to be kind! The kindness committee read the ABC’s of Kindness book, then everyone mixed-up to share new ideas on how to be kind.
Our students got into the holiday spirit by making delicious gingerbread creations. It was a great opportunity for students to work together, explore their creativity, and enjoy a tasty treat.
Middle School
Mrs. Nangle and middle school students, Elaine and Madelynn, had an awesome time painting pottery at B Creative! Thank you to the Carlucci Family for supporting our school through the experience raffle!
FFA
FFA November Update
While our FFA has hosted a few events in November, our members have been working very hard. Whether turning in entry forms for SAE projects or preparing for CDE events a lot of work has been put in. This month our members took the dairy and livestock preliminaries.
During this month our agriculture students worked very hard on building wooden Christmas trees. Students went out to the barn and cut, built, sanded, painted, and decorated some beautiful trees to sell!
We also worked on our barn quilt entry for the Florida State Fair. This project takes a lot of patience, but seeing the finished product is so satisfying.
Our Area 5 State Officer, Tregg, came to school, spoke to our agriculture classes, and attended our FFA meeting. He taught us about advocacy in a fun and engaging way!
December is our busiest month so make sure to check your emails to hear about the events and opportunities coming this month!
