ELEMENTARY INFORMATION
Note from our Elementary Principal - Rhett Anderson
Parents,
Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope your holidays were filled with joy, relaxation, and quality time with loved ones. As we dive into this 2nd part of the school year, I couldn’t be more excited for the incredible opportunities ahead for our students and our school.
At ALA, we embrace our RISE UP motto as a guiding light, and our hope is that we can instill in all our students these important traits:
Respect: Building a culture of kindness and understanding.
Integrity: Encouraging our kids to do the right thing, even when it’s hard.
Service: Finding ways to uplift others and give back.
Excellence: Striving for our best in everything we do.
Unity: Coming together as one school family.
Patriotism: Honoring our country and the values that unite us all.
As we get back into the swing of things, here are a few important reminders:
Middle-of-Year Assessments: We’ll be starting our benchmarks over the next few weeks. These are key opportunities to see how much progress your child has made and to set goals for the rest of the year. Please help your child be ready by ensuring they get plenty of rest and eat a good breakfast each morning.
Health and Sickness: This time of year, we tend to see a rise in illnesses. If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home to rest and recover—it’s the best way to protect everyone’s health.
Cold Weather: With the chill in the air, please make sure your child comes to school with a coat. To avoid lost items, be sure their name is clearly labeled on the inside.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. Together, let’s make this 2nd half of the year a time of growth, kindness, and success for every student. It’s time to dream big, work hard, and RISE UP!

SECONDARY INFORMATION

Secondary Newsletter Message:
Happy January! Welcome back, ALA families! We hope you had a restful and reviving Winter Break. Time flies when we are having fun! Excitement fills the air as we gear up for one more semester of the 24-25 school year. We have missed our students and our staff and faculty are excited to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully all of you are too!
State Testing - We are hoping to get the best out of our students as they showcase their knowledge and skills as students of ALA this upcoming March! Please look for more information, dates, details, and times.
Attendance Matters - The more our students are here at school, the more prepared and skilled they are for life. We would love to continue seeing our students attend school regularly! Here are some interesting statistics:
Please be sure to email alaattendance@americanleadership.net to excuse absences within 5 days of the absence. Do not call the office. We also encourage students to eat lunch on campus as 35 min. is usually not enough time to get food, eat, and return to campus. Our school lunches are scrumptious!
We are grateful for each and everyone student and family at ALA. We see growth and success in our students and programs and we are so proud of what our students accomplish. We can't wait to see what they do next.
Welcome back!
