Tēnā koutou katoa
Ngā mihi nui, ki a koutou katoa - Warm greetings to you all.
As we prepare for the end of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish our leaving year 6 learners all the best for the next stage in their schooling. They are prepared for the new challenges and opportunities that await them at Intermediate, and we look forward to hearing of their successes and achievements in the future.
Kia kaha, kia maia, kia manawanui
Be strong, be brave, be steadfast
Thank you to our parents and supporters of Tauranga Primary School. We are continually striving to provide the very best education we can for your children and appreciate your support and partnership in this endeavour.
Year 6 parents, I want to especially thank you for trusting us with your children throughout their primary schooling. For some this will mark the end of your close association with TPS, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well and thank you for your contributions and support over many years.
Next week we also say goodbye and good luck to Mrs Quinn. Mrs Quinn has worked for us as an English as a Second Language Tutor, for the last four years, at TPS. She has brought an abundance of colour and vibrance to our school, she can always be heard laughing and having fun with the students. Mrs Quinn is dedicated to making a positive difference to the lives of our learners, she has been an exceptional ESOL tutor and we will miss her.
Lastly, thank you to the teaching team, support staff, Friends of the School and BOT of TPS, you are a remarkable group of people who have contributed so much to make TPS a wonderful place to learn and grow in. I appreciate and value your support and look forward to an exciting 2024.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to everyone.
Ngā mihi o te kirihimete me te tau hou hari.
Hei kōnei rā
