April 2025
Hello My Future Fund Families!
Spring is an exciting time for My Future Fund. We are celebrating Financial Literacy Month, a new partnership with AFC Ann Arbor, our second anniversary in May, and the activation of over 4,900 new accounts that will help set up students for college and career success! We also anticipate sending out My Future Fund account login information before the end of the school year, and we will be attending many school and community events.
Please, be in touch if you have any questions about My Future Fund. You can reach our team at myfuturefund@washtenawisd.org or 734-302-2626.

AFC Ann Arbor Partnership
My Future Fund (MFF) is excited to partner with AFC Ann Arbor this spring and summer! AFC Ann Arbor is Ann Arbor’s elite amateur soccer club. Through this partnership, we are working to increase MFF engagement in priority schools and build awareness of the program in the community. Starting May 1st, My Future Fund families can receive 10% off 2 individual match tickets by using the code MFF. Plus, children under 13 are always free!
Financial Literacy Month
April is Financial Literacy Month, which is a perfect time to focus on building a strong financial foundation for you and your children.
Get the conversation started
You can use My Future Fund as a conversation starter this month by:
Reviewing the Account Together
Login to the portal to review the account balance (the amount of money invested on behalf of your child).
Discuss how the starting deposit and any potential bonuses have contributed to the current balance.
Explain that money is set aside for future education or career training. This connects savings to long-term goals.
Explaining Investment Growth
My Future Fund dollars are invested to help the money grow over time.
An investment is like owning a small part of a company. That company uses the money you invested to make more things or do better. And when the company does better, that money grows. Sometimes the money goes down when the company doesn’t do as well.
You can look at your My Future Fund account to see how the dollars change from the original amount.
