We are in full swing at St. Mary's this year. We celebrated our first school mass of the year with Fr. Steve and Fr. Rich. A big thank you to Mrs. Anfang on her debut performance at Wednesday's Mass. Thank you to Ann Giancola for assisting us this week during our New School Year transition. Morgan did an outstanding job as Cantor this week. Mrs. Anfang is catching on quickly to the Wednesday Mass routine because of our helpful students who are sharing their many years of wisdom with her.

Thank you to all of the parents who attended Parent Night this week. If you were not able to attend, please schedule a time with your child's teacher to go over any questions you may have.

Please check with Ms. Barnes in the School Office for updates needed for your Virtus Training. Many of you are missing needed paperwork to finish your training. If you have been a parent at St. Mary's awhile you may need updated fingerprinting. Don't wait until it is your day to drive for a field trip and you are missing documents. Check on this today.

Thank you Mel Burgett for coordinating Staff Treats each Month. The Staff at St. Mary's works very hard to create an atmosphere of caring and love for your children. Each month SSO leaves a small treat for the staff. Are you interested in helping out with this SSO mission. In the past, SSo has provided K-cups, cookies, cut flowers, ice-cream sandwiches from Hartzlers, breakfast, and fruit. SSO will reimburse you for your purchases which have cost between $35-$75. If you'd like to volunteer for a month or two please contact Mel Burgett(melburgett@gmail.com). If you are interested in helping organize the staff luncheon at the end of the year, please let Mel know. You can volunteer solo or with a few friends. We's love to hear from you.

At orientation, many of you received our calendar of events for the SSO Event Schedule for 2019-2020. We would like to give some information on the upcoming events that we hope you can attend.

Men’s Social - Friday, September 13th JAFB Brewery in Wooster @ 8:00 PM – 11PM (or later).

Stop by for any length in the time frame for a drink … grandpa’s, uncles, etc. all are welcome!

Family Social - Saturday, September 14th – Jump and Shout in Smithville, OH.

We will meet at Jump and Shout from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. First 40 St Mary students are free! At 3pm we will go over to the Oak Cupboard next door for some ice cream.

St. Francis Fall Festival – Sunday, October 6th at noon after 11am “Harvest” Mass. Join us for balloon arts, cake walk, games, donuts, and activities related to the life of St. Francis and his love of animals.
