"Preparing students for success in an ever-changing world."
Hello Mustang Nation,
Veterans Day Observance: RSU 57 schools will be closed on Monday, November 11 in recognition and observance of Veterans Day. As we enjoy an extended weekend it is important that we reflect upon the sacrifices of all veterans in the service of our country. We are incredibly grateful for all the service that has been rendered which allows us the freedoms and experiences we enjoy today. To our students, families, and staff who are particularly connected to Veterans Day - we thank you and yours for all that has been done in the protection of freedom and prosperity in our country.
Veterans Celebration: On Friday, November 15 from 8:40 - 9:20 am the MHS NJROTC Unit will host a Veterans Day Celebration in the MHS Gymnasium. The main office will dismiss students and staff to the gymnasium via the intercom. Area veterans, as well many RSU 57 staff members who are veterans, will be the guests of honor as we recognize the immense sacrifices of so many in the service of our country.

MHS Leaders with SRTC & SkillsUSA
Congratulations to SRTC students Gianna Sibya and Brian Graffam who were recently elected to leadership positions in SkillsUSA. Additionally, Isabel Enos will be serving as a local officer representing SRTC.
From Brian Graffam:
"SkillsUSA is a program that SRTC offers which allows you to push your mind beyond limits. SkillsUSA is anything from competitions in the spring, to giving yourself the leadership role you didn't know you could fill. Gianna Sibya has stepped up and taken the President position for the local Sanford chapter for the year of 2024-2025. This means she will be handling the bones of our meetings and doing everything from paperwork to helping organize the competitions. Izzie Enos has taken a step up this year as well and ran for the Secretary position of the local chapter. Brian Graffam has taken on the task of running for State Officer where in the spring he will run against many other students from all around the state to compete for an officer position. Brian might be selected by the board as anything from President to Post-Secondary Vice President. There are more than a few roles and the SkillsUSA board will select him for what they see fit. The competitions previously mentioned involve a plethora of fun competitions involving your SRTC program against other students from different vocational schools all around the state. The competitions include everything from Electrical wiring to Crime Scene Investigation. The SkillsUSA main goal is to help students expand their horizons and step outside of the box. SkillsUSA is highly recommended to any student enrolled in a vocational school and will surely be worth your time. For any additional questions, feel free to reach out to your Massabesic officers."
SkillsUSA is the #1 workforce development organization for students - they empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members. We are incredibly proud of our student leaders and the wonderful representation they provide.

Fun & Frivolity On Display!
How fortunate we are to be surrounded by clever and humorous staff who continually look for unique ways to create culture at MHS. For instance, Mr. Estes and his hall passes: No need to sign them - his photo covers that, and no need to wonder if he wants you in his classroom - his message literally asks you to 'Hurry Back!'. No need to wonder if he is thinking outside the box - clearly! Thank you, Mr. Estes, and to all MHS staff for doing the little things that matter.
Please see Captain Howell and/or Mrs. Ellis for more information!
