No School
Just a reminder, there is no school on Friday, March 29th for Good Friday. Have a great weekend, it looks like the sun may make an appearance!
Lost and Found
Traditionally this the the time of the year that the lost and found pile tends to grow the most. Please remind your child to bring home whatever items they wear to school in the morning.
Dessert for Dinner
Attention 5th grade parents, tomorrow, March 26th, is the last day to sign up for Dessert for Dinner. Please use the QR code below to sign-up. As a former 5th grade teacher, Dessert for Dinner was one of my favorite events.
Help Wanted
The nurse is looking to replenish her supply of extra clothes. If you have any gently used clothes, size Youth Medium or larger, that you would be willing to donate, please send it in with your child. Thank you in advance.
No School- April 2nd
At the February 27th Board of Education Meeting, the board approved canceling school on April 2nd due to the Primary Elections being held at multiple buildings across the district. The calendar on the district website now reflects the change.
April PTO Meeting
The April PTO meeting has been moved to Tuesday, April 23rd. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Duperre, Mrs. Marchese, Mr. Graham (Barnard) and Ms. Hayford (Barnard), will be facilitating a parent focus group in regards to Enfield's development of their Vision of a Graduate. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Please consider joining. I will attach the meeting link as we get closer to the date.

Wednesday, April 17th, 6-7 at the Enfield Public Library on Middle Road, ( rain date 4/18). We will unveil the Intermediate One Book, Three Schools 2024 book and author!
Come out and participate with staff and students from all 3 Intermediate schools! We will have fun, Interactive stations that reflect the themes from the book. More information to come. Be on the lookout for the flyer which will go home soon!
Healthy Habits with Coach Silk
In the month of February and March we will be talking about healthy habits during our community building time. Coach Silkowski will be giving tips on our morning announcements with a focus for each week.

Shoe Drive Update
Our shoe collection is up to 61 bags of shoes….that is over 1,525 pairs of shoes! Way to go Crandall Cougars! We will continue to collect shoes this week and next week with the last day to bring in shoes being Thursday April 4th. Let’s see if we can reach a new goal of 70 bags by the time we are done!!

Attendance Letters
Per district attendance procedures, attendance letters will be sent out for all absences, excused or unexcused, following this schedule:
5th absence – 1st Letter
9th absence - 2nd Letter
10th absence – 3rd Letter
Additional letters will be sent after every 5th absence. (ex. 15th, 20th, 25th)
Regardless of the content of the letters, if the majority of absences are excused as defined in the student handbook, we will most likely not reach out unless there are a large number of absences.
If the majority of the absences are unexcused as defined in the handbook, an administrator will be reaching out to offer available support to make sure your child comes to school on a regular basis.

Pick Up/Drop Off
Arrival- Drop Off
Students will be dropped off at the back of the building, follow the cones on the right-hand side. All 3rd grade students will be dropped off at the first door, 4th grade students will be dropped off at the second door and 5th grade students will be dropped off at the third door. All parents/guardians will remain in their cars. Follow the path around the building to exit.
Dismissal- Pick Up
Students will be dismissed from the back of the building, follow the cones on the right-hand side. Please make sure your car tag is visible for the staff. All 3rd grade students will be picked up at the first door, 4th grade students will be picked up at the second door and 5th grade students will be picked up at the third door. All parents/guardians will remain in their cars. Follow the path around the building to exit.
