Class of 2025 Information

Seniors! Congratulations you have made it to the second semester of senior year! This newsletter will provide up to date information on everything regarding senior year. Favorite the SMORE link so you have access to it throughout the school year!

Students! Please start stopping by Ms. Sabrina's desk to pay for your tassel! Make sure to bring $10.

No matter where your journey takes you—be it a four-year university, staying at TCC, joining the military, or diving into a vocational or technical school—we’re excited to celebrate your accomplishments! We would love for you to fill out the form completely so we can recognize all your hard work over the past four years. Let’s celebrate together!

All the information provided will be used for Senior Signing day and Senior Awards!

We’ve received quite a few questions from parents and students about whether you need to attend TCC Graduation. We want to let you know that although we highly recommend attending the ceremony to celebrate your achievements, it’s not mandatory for you to receive your associate's degree. We hope to see you there!

If you are interested in wearing a Volunteer Hours Cord, you need to have 100 hours (or more) by Monday, March 31st, 2025.

Please stop by Ms. Marie-France's desk to check your hours or if you have any questions about your total hours.

During Senior Check Out on May 9th 2025, students will receive the cords, in which students participated in this current year, in their packet along with their cap and gown.

CA supports all of our students' involvement throughout campus organizations in their years as a Phoenix. However, for our formal graduation ceremony on 5/15, please make note of the following details:

• Only CA-approved graduation cords (honor societies and service organizations) and stoles (NHS and AVID only) will be permitted to be worn on the day of the ceremony.

• If you have not received a cord or stole through a CA or TCC organization, please do not wear them to the ceremony.

• Students may wear any UIL medals earned while at CA.

• No other graduation regalia will be permitted to be worn on the day of the ceremony, including cultural and or college/university representation. These other regalia are great for graduation parties, family celebrations, etc. However, they will not be allowed on 5/15 for the CA graduation ceremony.

• Caps may not be decorated on top.

Seniors Receiving Associate's Degree: Seniors, TCC will provide a cap and gown at no cost to you. You will receive this at Senior Check-Out, May 9th.

Seniors NOT Receiving Associate's Degree: Seniors, if you are not receiving your Associate's, you will receive an email from Mrs. Gardner and Ms. Sabrina regarding your cap and gown purchase. Cost will be between $15.00 to $20.00.

On May 15th, GCISD Collegiate Academy, will require Seniors to wear their black cap and gown that will be received at Senior Check-Out with their red and gold tassel for the ceremony.

Purchase of Tassel:

We will be collecting a fee of $10.00 during your Pathways Classes. Please reach out to Mr. Geer for any more questions.

On May 17th, Tarrant County College, will require all TCC Students to wear their black cap and gown that will be received at CA's Senior Check-Out with their black tassel for the ceremony.

Purchase of Tassel:

TCC will provide all students receiving their Associate's with a black tassel at no cost.

GCISD's Collegiate Academy Graduation, on May 15th, allows for each Senior to bring up to 10 guests.

If you will need additional tickets please fill out this Google Form to request tickets. Your request will be viewed by our Administration and an update will be emailed.

The deadline to submit this is Friday, May 2nd, 2025.

Join us in celebrating our seniors and their next steps! Each student will be called onto the stage to sign our college poster. Please come to celebrate your student and their friends!

Doors will open at 8:30am in the Theatre Room, located at the NFAB Building. Below is a map for your reference.

Senior check out is when you turn in your GCISD computer and charger, make sure you have no charges on your account with nutrition, pick up the graduation packet, cap and gown and yearbook.

This will take place at Collegiate Academy in the Common Area.

Information regarding technology for Senior Check-Out:

If there are any issues with your computer please see Phillip Mon or Thur to address the issues. He can help you with supplies to help clean/remove stickers your unit before turning it in. If anything is lost or broken fees are listed below:

Missing/Wrong Charger: $45

Missing Dell Laptop: $200-$400

Sticker removal fee: $100 if we technology has to remove.

Damaged laptop: Major damage will cost $100

Please bring cash to pay for the fees. Exact change is requested.

Please join us at TCC NE, Center Corner, in building NSTU. Please see the map below for reference. Doors will open at 8:30am and we will begin recognizing the Class of 2025 at 9:00am.

Students need to be at the Hurst Conference Center at 6pm.

Parents can begin to arrive at 6:30pm. Parking is available in the parking garage attached to conference center. Parking is free.

Collegiate Academy Graduation

• May 15, 2025 at Hurst Conference Center @ 7:00PM, Seniors arrive at 6pm.

• Each Senior will receive 10 tickets and will pick them up at Phoenix Check out (Senior check out) May 9th 8:30am-10:30am.

Mandatory Graduation Practice:

• Wednesday, May 14, 2025. More information will be posted on time and location in the coming months.

Graduation Dress:

• Graduation is a formal event. Please plan to wear formal dress to the ceremony.

• Males need to wear long pants and a dress shirt. No flip-flops or tennis shoes. No sunglasses.

• Females may wear pants or a dress. No jeans or ripped apparel will be allowed. No sunglasses. Please ensure you can comfortably walk in your shoes.

As you begin your college application journey or next step, if you need a high school transcript sent to a University, you need to set up a Parchment account. Please use this link to begin to set up your account. You must use a personal email to sign up. DO NOT use your GCISD email. After you graduate your GCISD email will be deactivated. If you already have an account, no need to sign up for another one. Any questions reach out to Mr. Geer (Pathways teacher) or Mrs. Gardner.
