Garden camp has begun! For our first lesson, students learned about the 5 food groups and the importance of a variety of food groups in their diet. Students enjoyed some arts and crafts before preparing veggie pita pockets. Once the rain subsided, we finished camp with some outdoor physical activity!

So far, garden workdays have been successful and the Courtade garden is growing well! We had a bountiful harvest of strawberries this year. A huge thank you to everyone who helped weed the strawberries just in time for harvest!

We are always happy when families join us for garden workdays. Even if you can't make it for a workday, we hope that you find some time to enjoy the garden with your family this summer!

The Northport hoop house is thriving this summer thanks to all the new updates. We could not have done it without the help of the Northport maintenance team!

For our first lesson, students learned about the 5 food groups and why it is important to eat a variety of food groups every day. The older students prepared a mango salsa and the younger students tried sticks, stones, and bricks (a snack of pretzels, grapes, cucumbers, and cheese).

Come one, come all to our Courtade garden workdays! We will be in the garden from 9-11am every other Wednesday starting on July 10th and 24th. That time doesn't work for you? No worries!
