Trimester 3 will begin on Monday, March 10th. Please have your students check PowerSchool over the weekend for their new schedule. Schedules will be available to view Friday after 1:00pm.

Our 8th grade students will be taking the PSAT on April 8th. We will be completing our Digital Readiness Check March 18th to make sure all students have access to the technology needed for testing. There will be a portion of the set up for PSAT that asks for some information students that they use to help understand who is taking the test and their background. Attached is an opt out letter for parents if they choose not to have their students answer that information. All students will take the test, but providing additional information is optional. Please print and sign the attached form if you want your child to opt out of providing additional information. Return forms to the counseling office by March 16th, so that we are aware prior to the Digital Readiness Check. Thank you!

Romeo Middle School Theater is excited to announce its upcoming production of Aladdin Jr., a vibrant and magical musical performance that will transport audiences into the heart of Agrabah. This family-friendly show will take place from March 13-15, 2025, at Romeo Middle School, showcasing the talent of the school’s dedicated students in a dazzling display of song, dance, and storytelling.

Tickets are available for purchase at rmstheater.ludus.com or at the door 1hr before shows begin, and prices are as follows:

• General Admission: $10

• Students & Seniors: $6

Children are encouraged to join in the fun by dressing in their favorite Disney attire or costume and show it off up on the stage at the start of the show.

The Romeo Varsity tennis coach will conduct a tennis camp during spring break for 6 th -8 th grade students, Monday through Friday, 1:00-3:00 at the new Romeo High School Courts. There is no cost for the camp and you are not required to sign up for the Middle School Tennis Club to attend the camp. You can come all five days or just one. 2025 Romeo Middle School Tennis Club Information

6 th -8 th grade Girls and boys attending Romeo Middle School in good academic standing are eligible to join the Romeo Middle School Tennis Club. For the first time, the Middle School team will have a full time coach, Boys JV Head Coach Laurin Crenshaw. Matthew Burr, the Boys and Girls Varsity Head Coach will also assist.

Practices will be on Weekdays (average three days a week) starting after Spring Break, at the Romeo High School tennis courts, 4:15-5:30. Matches will be at 5:00 on weekdays and on some Sundays at 1:00.

The club is open for all abilities, Beginners to experienced players. Everyone will have fun, learn,

improve, and get to play in matches against other middle school teams. There is a limit to how many

students can participate.

Cost for joining is $125 for the season plus $10 for a team shirt. A current Physical must be uploaded to https://romeoathletics.com (click the Online Registration button).

There will be no school provided transportation. Getting to and from practices and matches will be the responsibility of parents and guardians.

Training Camp

WE made it!!! Trimester two is officially over and we are heading toward the last trimester of the school year. Throughout this upcoming trimester all of our students will be testing for the NWEA and MSTEP. In addition, our 8th grade students will be taking the PSAT, which is their first step toward high school preparation. As we near the testing dates, there will be more information released and we will do our best to make sure our students are prepared and feel comfortable with taking their standardized tests.

★ 7th Grade

*Students on team Ignite will be updating Xello, our career readiness program, this coming Thursday and Friday (3/13, 3/14) in their Ancient History classes.

*Trimester 3 is under way and it’s a great time to set some goals. Academic? Attendance? Organization? Activity? No matter what, goal setting is so important. Please take time this weekend to set a goal with your student for next trimester.
