The LVA school counselors have dedicated time to develop and/or update student’s Academic Plans. The plan is available in Infinite Campus Parent Portal for parent/guardian review and approval.

• Approval can only happen through the parent’s/guardian’s login.
• Directions have been attached to assist parents/guardians find the Academic Plan.
• The Academic Plan will be visible for review and approval until Friday, December 20, 2024.
• Your student’s school counselor will be listed at the top of the Academic Plan, as well as a link to email the counselor for any questions or concerns.

Parents/Guardians are encouraged to submit their 2024–2025 Districtwide Parent/Guardian Survey online using a computer, laptop, or other mobile device at https://www.ccsd.net/survey. Any parent/guardian with children enrolled at the school is eligible to take the survey.

The annual Districtwide Survey is intended to provide information for Clark County School District (District) and schools regarding progress toward District priorities and to comply with the requirements of the Board of School Trustees and the Nevada Department of Education.

The survey takes less than ten minutes to complete and is a vital part of the District’s annual self-assessment.

As students begin to receive scholarship offers and letters of acceptance, it is helpful for LVA to receive this information. Information assists in planning best practices for our Counselors and College & Career Office. Please complete the survey at LVA Student Scholarship Data Collection

The Class of 2025 may now start ordering cap & gowns as well as other senior items. Jostens is LVA's Official Company for LVA Graduation Gear. Seniors should order their cap & gown no later than April 12, 2025, to be guaranteed delivery by graduation practice and distribution day on May 23, 2025. Order at this link, Jostens.com/graduation. There are many package options available. The cap & gown [only] is at the most economical price of the year until mid-December. The Library was filled with over 60 students recognized at November's Student of the Month luncheon. Students enjoyed lunch while Principal Lezlie Koepp read nomination paragraphs by LVA faculty and Staff and handed out certificates.

Students are nominated for numerous reasons including leadership, kindness to others, improved academic performance, being helpful, and the characteristics found in the LVA Way.

Besides lunch, each student received a goodie bag that contained an Oscar Burger coupon, candy, and other goodies. Students attending also received a drawing ticket for one of several Starbucks gift cards.

Tuesday was Flannel Frenzy Dress Up Day and the quad was filled! Students, teachers, and administrators joined in the fun.

The Friends of LVA Foundation is seeking parent volunteers to assist in the Snack Shack. The Snack Shack is open during lunch for students to purchase alternatives to the student store and avoid the lunch line. The volunteer commitment is a couple of hours on selected weekdays. All proceeds go back to the school to support opportunities and programs for students. Email Melissa at lvasnackshack@gmail.com with days and times you can help.

Grassroot Girls is seeking two or more girls aged 12 to 17 to participate in Nevada's 2025 legislative session! This opportunity includes advocacy coaching, law-making training, a one-day trip to Carson City, and a life changing experience.
