A Message From Mrs. O'Shaughnessy
I hope everyone dad a lovely weekend. These almost summer weekends seem to fly by! Sunset at 8:30pm gives us more daylight hours to do what we love (and what we have to do too!). This weekend we concluded our Saturday Program. Our Saturday program welcomed all of our Multi-Language Learners for some small group instruction with our amazing teachers, as well as an art experience with Creative Art Works. This mix of art and instruction kept our students coming back every Saturday. We ended with a pizza party and art show for our families Saturday. It was wonderful.
Last week, the Carnival and the Dance Festival was amazing!! It is what we missed so badly. The kids has so much fun, and so did the adults. We even got some of the staff in the dunk tank. (Yes, even me.). It was a long time coming. Our wonderful scholars will identify school with fun, friends, success, and belonging.
ALL SECOND GRADE FAMILIES: APPLICATION FOR GIFTED AND TALENTED PROGRAM CLOSES TOMORROW. PLEASE SEE LINK TO REGISTER (LOG IN YOUR MYSCHOOLS) https://www.myschools.nyc/en/
This week we prepare to "Step Up" our littlest learners, our 3K, PreK and kindergarten students. The weather looks like it will cooperate.
We also would like to invite all of our families back Tuesday night for our last PTA meeting. We will be in the school yard at 7pm and all students who accompany their families will receive a fun Sand Art Craft! Lots of raffles too! Lets end the year together.
Our Disney production team has been working feverishly to be ready for their performance. Please see the flyer below for details for Friday's show.
