Little reminder that if your child is not attending a reading small group and you would like for them to please reach out. I still have room in my morning small groups. Please continue to work on sight words daily. We are learning 3 words a week! :) Down this newsletter a little ways is a list of those sight words.

Letter/Alphabet fluency charts are a great way to give students practice with letter & sound recognition. These charts have duplicated letters to give students the repeated practice they need. Point to each letter as the student recites the letter. Once letters are recognized with ease and promptness, use the fluency charts to practice letter sounds. The goal is to achieve quick letter recognition and immediate letter sound production. This is vital to begin putting letters together to make words and ultimately, beginning to read.
