Celebrate Catholic Schools Week with us. Join us for our Pancake Breakfast and Open House on Sunday, January 26th from 9AM-12:30PM and see what St. Mary School has to offer children and families. Join us for the many events scheduled this week and celebrate Mass with us on Wednesday, January 29th for the Saints Parade or Saturday, February 1st at 5PM to conclude our week.

The State of the Catholic Schools Report is attached at the bottom of this newsletter. Please take a few minutes to read through the Diocesan Report and find out the latest initiatives in the Cleveland Diocese regarding Catholic Education. All Catholic Schools, although separate entities and miles apart, work together as one district when it comes to curriculum, professional development and school support. We are blessed to have the many Principals, Teachers and Staff who lead our schools and provide quality educational experiences for your children. St. Mary School is part of the STREAM Team that promotes STEM Education throughout our schools and the Better Together Initiative which provides Catholic education and supports to students that are exceptional learners. Our mission is to provide a quality Catholic Education to all families.

Don't forget to attend our Winter "Formal" on Friday, January 31st from 6PM-8:30PM. There will be food , games, prizes and music. Fun for the entire family. Dress up in your finest, craziest formal wear, or Sunday attire. It will be a blast! A Special Visit from some popular princesses too!

Through the daily routine of "Calendar Time", students further develop Number Sense and gain a strong level of confidence as they formally learn about place value, expanded form, regrouping, money, writing dates, abbreviations, and spelling patterns. This 7-10 minutes each day are both a springboard into so many First Grade standards. Each student leads for a week at a time on a rotating basis throughout the course of the year.
