How can school OT help my student be successful?
What is school Occupational Therapy? Click this link to find out!
Fine Motor Skills
Does your child have difficulty using their hands to play with small toys? OT can help! We can work with your child one on one, in the classroom, or give you ideas for home!
Sensory Processing
Does your child have trouble tolerating certain clothing? How about noise or light? Certain foods? Do they become angry or upset with sudden changes in routine? OT can help design a sensory processing diet for home or school!
Visual Perceptual Skills
Perception is how our brain interprets what we see. When a child has challenges with visual perception, they may not be able to complete puzzles, see how toys go together, or make a simple craft. OT's have the stuff to make this easier - for you AND your student!
Your child's OT...
Hi my name is Linda Mohney, and I'm the OT for Comstock Park Public Schools. I'm here to help your student be successful in school in the areas of Fine Motor, Visual Perception, and Sensory Processing. I also consult with teachers to provide them with ideas and tips to help your student be successful in the classroom. I assist one other important team member - YOU - the parent or guardian - with working with your student at home! Please feel free to contact me at any time!
