Library News
Families, please be advised that due dates for school-issued materials are coming up quickly! Any materials not currently being used for class can be returned at any time - the sooner, the better!
The end of the school year is when we find out that students have lost or damaged equipment, textbooks, or library books. When this happens, students are assessed a fee to help repair or replace the item. These fees will begin to show up on your ParentVUE as our staff begin to collect items from students to close out the school year. To minimize or avoid these fees, please talk to your student(s) about the school resources they have checked out to make sure items get returned on time and in working order. How to pay on ParentVue.
Seniors: Students will not be able to pick up their cap and gown without returning all materials and paying all fines. All library books, textbooks, and Chromebooks are due by 2:30pm on Thursday, May 29th.
9th - 11th grade:
Textbooks need to be in by June 6th, but if items are not needed for a current class or exam, please return them now!
Students are keeping their Chromebooks over the summer and should have renewed them. If you are notified of an overdue Chromebook, have your student stop by the library to renew or the device will be locked over the summer. Students are responsible for the protection of their devices against damage or loss.
Students can always check to see what books they owe in the Destiny app under the lock and key by clicking on My Info and they can view their fines in StudentVue. If you feel any errors have been made, please contact Ms. Hackenmiller at allison.hackenmiller@ahschools.us.

Celebrating all Anoka-Hennepin staff May 5-9, as Employee Appreciation week
In Anoka-Hennepin Schools, our staff make a difference each and every day. May 5-9 is being celebrated as Employee Appreciation Week across the school district, celebrating the significant impact that staff at all sites make for students.
Students are our future, and what staff does today matters. Staff may never realize the difference that they make each day, but they are valued. Join in honoring, recognizing and celebrating school district staff that make a difference in our school communities.
We can all see how much they care, and you can join us in honoring, recognizing and celebrating school district staff that make a difference in our school communities. Consider a few ideas for celebrating the Anoka-Hennepin Schools’ Employee Appreciation Week:
Encourage your student to share a handwritten note of appreciation for a staff member that impacts their days at school. Consider a simple email message to let a staff member know they are making a difference.
Share a smile, and/or tell a staff member how they make a difference for your student or your family.
Get involved in your school’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and see if there are ways you can volunteer or donate as a token of appreciation.
Counselors set Tuesday/Wednesday regular hours to continue expanded service this summer
Providing the academic planning students and families need often goes beyond the school year. Champlin Park High School counselors are reaching out with an option to fill that gap with regular office hours two days a week over the summer months.
A counselor will be available for walk-in service or appointments to assist students from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting June 17 and continuing through August 13. Service will not be available the weeks of June 23 through July 4 over the holiday.
The expanded hours aim to provide a consistent time for customer service to students and families. Counselors are also available the full week following the school year and the full week prior to the school year starting. Students are encouraged to contact their counselor for exact availability prior to the end of the school year. https://www.ahschools.us/domain/7108
