I hope everyone has had a nice weekend. I can't believe October is over this week! October definitely went much quicker than September and like every start to the school year the next two months are going to fly by with holiday's in play in November and December.

We have two big events happening this week, on Tuesday 10/29 we will be hosting the Bionic Project for assemblies and some soccer clinics for the 4th grade students. The Bionic Project has visited the district for a few years now mostly at the middle school level, Harrington will be the first elementary school in the district to host this amazing project. The Bionic Projects mission is to dismantle disability bias through education, story, and sport. We are very luck to have them coming to Harrington on Tuesday!

Our second big event this week is our annual Costume for Kindness. This years them is to support, communicate and model kindness to everyone. I'm super excited for both of these amazing events this week, it is a great way to transition into November!

To better estimate the demand for lunches on half days, CPS Nutrition utilizes online lunch ordering for HALF DAYS ONLY.

For the upcoming half day Wednesday 9/18/24 orders must be received by Friday 9/13/24.

If you would like your child to have lunch on future half days, the online ordering is open for you to go ahead and select those dates.

Directions to set up your account and order:

1. URL Link: family.onlineordering.linq.com
2. Sign up now: Email, create password.
3. School District: Chelmsford Public Schools
4. Student ID: This can be found on x2- Child’s student ID number
5. Last Name: (You can also search and add siblings/family members at this time). Once this is completed, the student's name should appear on the page.

How to order meals

1. School Menu-select online lunch ordering (all schools)
2. Scroll to week of half day/early release date (top right of page)
3. Find date, select meal option
4. Add item to cart/Select Add to order
5. Click on shopping cart icon at top right of page
6. Click Check out
7. Select pick up location: Elementary pick-up location classroom. Middle/high school pick up location cafeteria.
8. Place order

I want to thank everyone for your support for our 1st annual walk-a-thon! It was the perfect day to hold this event, the students and staff loved their time on the track!

Happy Sunday, Harrington! We wanted to thank everyone who ordered out Thursday from Sal’s Pizza for our dine-to-donate fundraiser. The next dine-to-donate is already around the corner if you missed this one!

Pride Wear orders were delivered to school this week. If you chose the “send home with student” option, please look out for your child’s order coming home. If you chose the “pick up at school” option, you should have received an email from us about pickup. Questions about your order should be directed to Center Sports.

Stock the Staff Room begins Wednesday, October 30 🍪

Let’s show our teachers and staff some love as we roll into the holiday season and stock their break room with some goodies and make it nice and cozy as we head into the holiday season! Donations can be placed in a plastic tote outside the main door starting Wednesday, October 30. Please make sure all items are store bought & individually wrapped, and consider gluten free options as well! Detailed flyers went into teachers’ mailboxes Friday, so check your child’s folder!

Dine to Donate Tuesday, November 5 🐭

No school Tuesday, November 5! Looking for something to do? Join us at Chuck E. Cheese, Lowell, from 11am to 9pm. Chuck E. Cheese will donate 20% of sales to the HPTO. Flyers will go home closer to this date, so be on the lookout.

HPTO Monthly Meeting Wednesday, November 6 📅

Please join us Wednesday, November 6 at 6:30pm in the library. The meeting will also have a Zoom option, which will be sent through ConnectEd the morning of the scheduled meeting, along with our agenda for the evening. Be sure to check your email!

Calling all fourth grade parents! The Fourth Grade Parent Committee information session will be held during this meeting, around 7pm. We would love to have you in person for this session (and really the whole meeting)! Please try to attend in person, but we understand if Zoom is your only option.
