Congratulations to this group of students who had their Pronghorn Pride Ticket drawn this week. These students were caught either modeling a school-wide expectation or showing ownership for their learning. Way to be #PronghornStrong!

*Students gathered for the photo for less than 1 minute and then distanced themselves.

We are just days away from our Veterans Day Celebration. We have been working hard to put together a special event for our student with a guest speaker and the 5th grade students who will be sharing some patriotic songs. This will be streamed into the classroom, as we have recorded and built this school-wide assembly. A special thank you to Mrs. McGrorty who has been working on this big project!

Part of that celebration is the featuring of our Wall of Honor. We would like to honor those family members who have served or who are currently serving. Our staff and students enjoyed this project so much that we want to invite everyone to share their family members with us so that we may recognize and appreciate the service they have given or are currently are giving.

Here is a link to the Honoring our Veterans document you may print at home or open. Students are welcome to draw pictures or insert a picture into the document.

We are accepting these until November 10. Please help us fill our hallways. Yes, you are welcome to spotlight any and all family members who have served or are currently serving. And yes, some friend become family, so you are also welcome to recognize those special individuals as well!

This is our main fundraiser for the year. All funds raised will be used for our Teacher Grants, PTA Sponsored Events (Night of Giving, Family Dance, STEAM Night, Carnival, etc), and for purchasing picnic tables and benches for our campus). Thanks for supporting our School!

The PTA is excited to announce this year’s Reflections Art Contest.

Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program. We hope you will participate in this fun art contest. The theme for 2021-2022 is I Will Change the World By …

Entries are due to the front office my Wednesday, November 17th.

Please join us for a night to come together to give back to our community. Your family will be able to make holiday cards for our military, decorations for a local senior home, make blankets for the animal shelter and more! We will even have a visit from Santa!!! He will be here for families to take photos and have some cookies and hot cocoa! There is no cost to participate but there will be optional opportunities to donate items. More details to come, but save the date for our first Pleasant View Elementary Night of Giving!

We have recently gone through a large number of water bottles. Please make sure your child has a water bottle with them each day.

(We have very few water bottles available for students who forget. Donations accepted.)

IF YOUR CHILD IS ABSENT...

Please be sure to call into the office or email Jenene Hill at hill.jenene@westada.org if your child is out absent.

If your child has an appointment, please be sure to get a verification form from the provider to allow the school to change the coding for attendance. If your child has a standing appointment weekly/monthly, you can get the letter from the provider for the length of time to share with the office to allow for proper coding.

*Per district policy, an unverified absence will convert to truancy unless verbal communication is received from a parent/guardian within 48 hours (counts against attendance standard).
