Minshew Families -

Wow! What an incredible 20th Anniversary Carnival that our PTA put on for our community! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of the hard work that our volunteers put into making this event a success! It was a great night filled with laughter and school pride.

This is the season where we focus on gratitude. I am so thankful to be a part of the Minshew school family and surrounded by incredible students and staff each day. Please take the time to submit a note of appreciation to our Minshew staff on this link: Teacher_Gratitude Form. We will take your messages and put them on a thankful card for the teacher you identified. Please consider recognizing our specials teachers, special education teachers, library team, counselor, office team, and other support staff as it takes a team to serve our school community at high levels!

I invite you to come to eat lunch with your child this Friday for our Friendsgiving lunch. Many parents bring a lunch for their child, but you are always welcome to purchase an adult meal from the cafeteria.

Thank you so much for supporting MacTown Miracles! Your generosity in donating cans is making a huge impact on our community. Every can collected helps us provide for those in need, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Remember, the grade that collects the most cans will win a Glow Party—a fun celebration to cap off all your hard work. The winning grade level will be announced the week of December 16th and the glow party will happen that same week! Keep those cans coming, and let’s make this the most successful drive yet. Thank you again for your incredible support!

MacTown Miracles is a heartwarming district-wide initiative supported by all three McKinney ISD high school student councils. Students from McKinney North, Boyd, and McKinney High will be collecting donations to provide approximately 700 holiday meal kits for local families in need.

Each McKinney ISD school, including Minshew Elementary, has been asked to contribute specific items to help make this project a success. Minshew will have donation boxes available in the front lobby starting Thursday, November 14th. Our school has been assigned to collect canned corn and canned green beans. We are grateful for your support in this meaningful effort.

If you would like to participate, please send in your donations of canned corn and green beans starting on November 14th. All donated items will be picked up from our campus by December 18th.

• Students are tardy if not in the classroom at 8:00 am.
• The BACK entrance is locked at 8:00 am. All visitors or tardy students must enter through the front door.
• Students coming in after 9:15 am are marked absent.
• Absence notes or emails must be sent within 3 days of the absence to the front office at: MinshewOffice@mckinneyisd.net or via the MISD Report An Absence form.
