Have You Checked Infinite Campus Lately?
As we approach the last quarter of the school year...friendly reminder that you can always consult Infinite Campus to see your student's grades and attendance in real time. Encouraging revising work and seeking support from a teacher during Squire Time, is a way to help improve grades that may need a boost.
NMS Library Corner
April is National Poetry Month. Students will explore the many different forms of poetry and examine the poetry section of the library. We will discuss the poetry genre and how it impacts students' writing, vocabulary and presentations.
Notes From Nurse Grant
April is here, bringing fresh air and a great time to focus on your health. Here are some important health tips and updates for this month:
Spring Cleaning for Your Health – A clean space helps prevent allergies and keeps germs away. Don’t forget to wash your hands often!
Stay Active Outside – The weather is warming up, so take breaks from screens and enjoy outdoor activities like walking, biking, or playing sports.
Eat Fresh & Stay Hydrated – Seasonal fruits and veggies like strawberries, spinach, and carrots are packed with vitamins to keep you strong and energized. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water!
REMINDER:
ALL RISING 7TH GRADERS ARE MANDATED TO RECEIVE: T-DAP and MENINGOCOCCAL VACCINES PRIOR TO ENTERING 7TH GRADE!!
Student Council Sponsors Spirit Week
SLAM Comes to NMS!
There is still time to order a Yearbook!
Yearbooks are still on sale! There are order forms in the NMS front office. Students can also check in with Ms. Shain or Ms. Ledoux to order. The cost is $40 and they will only order a certain number of yearbooks for the year. Yearbooks are usually distributed the last week of school and students often miss out on the chance of ordering that late. Yearbook sales are first come first serve!
Student Council Creates Jared Boxes
NMS Student Council students create 28 Jared boxes for York Hospital during the month of March. Jared boxes are a plastic shoe-sized storage box filled with small gifts, toys, games, crayons, coloring books, and fun activities. Each box contains items selected for a specific age and gender. The boxes are given to children in the hospital to provide a special, fun diversion. These Jared boxes were donated to York Hospital.
