Otter Choir is Coming!
What is it? Otter Choir is for kids who want to extend their music experience by learning how to sing in a choir and perform. We will be focusing on music from movies!
When is it? Otter Choir will be during the school day this year to allow anyone who wants to participate to do so.
Friday afternoons from 3:15-dismissal
Friday, March 22 through Otterpalooza on Friday, May 31st
Who may join? Any student in 4th and 5th grades may join Otter Choir.
How do I join? Return the bottom portion of this letter and you are in! See PDF linked below or the note your student brought home.
Student Council School Store
Student Council held their School Store on Wednesday, February 28 and it was a huge success. They will hold the School Store again on Wednesday, March 6 from 9-9:15 in the link. Students can purchase a $1, $2, or $3 grab bag when they arrive at school on February 28th or March 6th.

Dental Sealant Program - For students in Grades 1, 2 and 3 ONLY.
The school-based dental sealant program is coming to Mississippi on April 3rd, 4th, and 5th. This program is free for all students who wish to participate. If you are interested in this program, please complete the consent form and return to school by March 7th for each student you have in grades 1, 2 and 3.
Please note: No payment is required from participating families. Minnesota Health Care Programs and other insurance plans will be billed as appropriate for preventive services. This reimbursement helps to cover the cost of this program.

Getting ready for school: Easy as 1-2-3!
Families should prepare children for preschool and kindergarten now, if they are considering a start in the fall.
If your family has a younger sibling or if you know a neighbor interested in starting school this fall, use or share the following steps so we can keep you informed of important welcome events and information.
Verify that your child meets the requirements for school.
Preschool: Your child will be three or four years old by Sept. 1, 2024.
Kindergarten: Your child will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2024.
If you haven’t already, complete an early childhood screening. Call 763-433-4910.
Enroll online so we can save you a seat!
Preschool: Visit ahschools.us/preschool for enrollment details and to register to attend a preschool information session.
Kindergarten: Visit ahschools.us/enroll and click “Get started!”
Make a plan to attend information sessions and welcome events.
Once you enroll online, you will receive details via email from your child’s preschool or elementary school about registration and welcome events.
Preschool: Information event to be held Mar. 18 from 4:30-6 p.m. or 6:30-8 p.m.
Kindergarten: Registration events will take place between March 21-April 21.
