Patumahoe School 6th of April 2022
Principal's Desk
Kia ora parents, caregivers, and extended whanau
A few things going on over the next week. Firstly, we have Swimming Sports Finals this Friday. We have been running preliminary races all week to find our finalists. A list of our finalist swimmers are listed below. As they are finals, the reduced number of swimmers has enabled us to invite parents of the competitors to come along as spectators. So if your child is competing in the final and you wish to attend can we please kindly ask that only parents and caregivers attend, not extended family members as we still have to manage the numbers inside the pool despite it being well ventilated. Also, we do ask that you wear a mask once you are inside the pool building. Action gets underway at 8.45am on Friday
Our Reading Challenge award winners will be announced at this Friday's assembly. A huge thank you to the following businesses who have donated a wonderful array of major prizes such as scooters, lego sets, Rainbows End family passes, Jump family passes, robotics kits, and sports balls.
Reading Challenge major sponsors:
ACSL, Cleven Electrical, DMI Plumbing, Flynn Plumbing, Gary Capper LJ Hooker, Harvey Norman Pukekohe, and Stirling Sports Pukekohe.
We are holding a special farewell assembly for Louise Tupai next Wednesday the 13th before she embarks on her new journey as the principal of Pukekohe East School. Please come along and help make the occasion extra special for Ms Tupai. It starts at 1pm under the Cloud.
A big thank you also must go to Bakers Delight Pukekohe owned by the Faulkner family for their generous donation after their recent hotcross bun fundraiser. Also thank you to Emily Spooner and Gary Starnes for helping us with the broken hall freezer.

YUMMY STICKERS
We are collecting the Yummy stickers again this year. The yummy fruit company generously donates $200,000 worth of sports gear to NZ schools. The more stickers we collect the bigger share of free sports gear we get. These stickers can be found on apples, but must be the 'yummy' brand. The best way to collect these is to place the stickers on a paper towel or piece of paper. Please send with your child to Mrs Crisp in Room 7.
A huge thank-you to all our families that collected last year. We have received some exciting new gear for our Junior PE Shed.
