VMMS Community Connection
Week of February 10, 2025 - February 14, 2025
Greetings, Viper Community!
Our 8th grade Vipers, alongside all VUSD 8th graders, recently visited the VUSD High schools (Vista High, Rancho Buena Vista, Mission Vista) to learn more about their programs and begin thinking about the big transition into high school. Making an informed decision and finding the school that is the 'best fit" is vital as they plan their future.
Similarly, VMMS is in the middle of magnet recruitment season, where we are showcasing our program to prospective 5th grade families. As a school of choice, we are grateful for our current Viper families who are committed to our unique VMMS culture and value our IB program. VMMS is happy to support your Viper in their educational journey!
With that said, it is never too early for students and families to begin discussions about high school, college and/or career. All our Vipers have taken the RIASEC assessment via the Thrively platform. This assessment is a valuable tool in helping students find potential career pathways that naturally align with them based on their interests. Please ask your student to log on to Classlink and access Thrively where you can see their RIASEC assessment results. Engage in a "future forward" conversation!
Please call the office at (760) 726-5766 or visit the office M-F from 8:00-4:00 if you have any questions or need assistance.
Thank you!
