Fundraising Update & PAC Initiatives
Fundraising Update: Since the start of the school year, PAC has been diligent in our fundraising efforts and we are happy to share that we have raised $4,630 of our $25,000 goal. These funds are used to support student and staff initiatives. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
PAC Grant Requests: In order for a faculty and staff to request funding for a new club, initiative, or student focused items, Staff members must submit a Grant Application to PAC and present the proposal at one of the monthly meetings. During the October meeting, Mr. McGuire presented six (6) grant requests. Of these six, PAC is happy to share that we have approved funding for the following four (4) requests:
- Gift cards to be used for buzz buck incentives
- Pinnies for 8th grade Stinger events
- Colors of the Word colored pencils for each classroom
- QMS Cross Country warm up shirts
Current Initiatives: PAC is currently working on the following initiatives. While we hope to make each of these a reality, we cannot guarantee that will be the case. Support for these initiatives is largely contingent on funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals. If you have an interested in assisting with one or more of these initiatives, please email qms.pac@gmail.com or join us at the November 20th meeting and we will put you to work!
- Winter Dance / Semi Formal - Last year PAC partnered with Student Council to bring dances back to QMS, the first time since well before the pandemic. We hope to bring at least one to our students this year. However, this will not be possible without the parent/guardian chaperones from all grades. Please make sure you have a valid CORI on file now so that when chaperones are needed, you're able to answer the call.
- 8th Grade End Banquet - Historically, rather than take a local field trip, the 8th grade has held a larger end of year celebration on school grounds in the form of a tropical-themed banquet, which included a DJ and pizza. Last year PAC was able to enhance this experience and held the event off of school grounds at a local hotel and the kids had an absolute blast! Holding the event off of school grounds does come with a much larger cost and requires commitment of a minimum of 35 family chaperones. Please consider making a contribution to the Unfundraiser to support the 8th grade banquet.
Fall Frolic - 2nd Annual Comedy Fundraiser
Join us Saturday, November 23rd for our 2nd Annual Fall Frolic - an 18+ Comedy Fundraiser! We need your help in reaching our ticket sales goal! Tickets will be available until they are sold out and sponsorships and donations can be made right up to the event.
Encourage family and friends to purchase tickets or to sponsor your student's team. A Sponsors can be anyone who donates $100 or more. Students may also collect smaller amounts from friends and families until there is at least $100 to submit online.
The team that raises the most (combination of ticket sales, sponsors, and donations) will receive an ice cream social. Sponsor your students team by selecting the team color in the "How Did You Hear About Us" drop down when sponsoring online. The winning team will be announced by the end of November.

UNFUNDRAISER
Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we!
In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!
Your donations will enable us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for enrichment, technology, flexible seating, speaker events and so much more. Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year. This will put us in a terrific position to support all of our ongoing student activities and provide an opportunity to see what new initiatives we can help with.
_____ $25 - I don’t want to buy chocolate bars, please take this donation instead.
_____ $50 - I don’t want to sell coupon books so here’s a better alternative.
_____ $100 or $_______ Here’s a donation to show my appreciation for not having to buy, sell, or do anything else for fundraising this year.
Payments can be made via PayPal at QMS UnFundraiser Donation, Venmo @QMS-PAC, or send a check payable to "QMS PAC" to QMS PAC, 240 East Street, Mansfield, MA 02048. Remember, donations are tax deductible.
