We tested the hypothesis of whether hot water or cold water will create a better rainbow from the skittles dye & sugar. & explored the meaning of diffusion!
As the skittles are emerged in water, the dye and sugars dissolve and move toward the center of the plate called diffusion
Students found that hot water works faster! But room temp / cold water works and you see the process more slowly!
60-65 parts will be chosen on Monday April 7th for students in grades K-8. Keep in mind that not all students trying out will get a part. Students will need to be available for practice after school all week and performances on the weekend.
Performances tentatively for Friday night and Saturday at 11.
