Science in action!
We're so excited to get our Battle of the Books teams started! We have a 3/4 team and 5/6 team this year, and we are so thankful for Tebughna Foundation in sponsoring our book purchase. We compete in February 2025 with other KPBSD schools, and are meeting several times a week to read as a club after school. Please look forward to Jenna calling for permissions to stay and do our best BOB reading!
As we continue to support your kiddos growth, and education, I'd like to emphasize the importance of encouraging them to make positive choices in school. Talking to your child about doing the right thing in both academics and interactions with peers is essential in helping them develop a strong moral compass. From integrity in school work to respecting others, your continued involvement and encouragement from home, help create a supportive environment for your child to make wise and throughtful decisions in school. Thank you for your partnership in this journey:-)
In our ongoing commitment to prioritize the health and well-being of our students and staff, we want to inform you about our KPBSD Symptom-Free Protocol. This protocol is designed to create a safer environment for everyone by minimizing the risk of the spread of illnesses. We kindly request that you ensure your child is symptom-free before sending them to school each day. This includes checking for common symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, and difficulty breathing. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms or has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for an infectious illness, we strongly encourage you to keep them at home, and consult with the clinic. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter, as the collective efforts of our school community are crucial in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment for all.
Remindar to parents and guardians to please update your child(ren)'s information and permissions or new/ returning students for the 2024-2025 school year! Please follow this link to update:-)

The Safe School Helpline is provided to allow students, parents and community members the ability to confidentially submit report threats of violence, suicide, bullying or illegal activity that impact KPBSD schools, students, or staff. This service provides users the opportunity to leave a message or speak with a live crisis counselor for immediate needs. The helpline is administered by an independent, outside company.
