Sanborn Spotlight

May 11, 2025
Dear Sanborn Families,
We've had an exciting and eventful couple of weeks at Sanborn! Our students have been busy learning, exploring, and celebrating together. Our first and second graders kicked things off with a wonderful music concert that had everyone smiling! Fifth grade took a trip to the firehouse, third grade visited Clayson House, and fourth grade enjoyed a fun and informative visit to the library.
Last week was jam-packed with excitement as we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week. Huge thanks to our amazing PTA for showering our staff with delicious food and treats each day! We also had a fantastic turnout for Donuts with Grownups, held over two days, and our book fair was a big hit with families. On Bike to School Day, many students participated and even won raffle prizes!.
We wrapped up the week with our Walkathon Celebration—an amazing event filled with music, walking laps around the track, and lots of smiles. Students and staff loved the festive balloon arch and surprise confetti. And to top it all off, our top fundraising students got to slime a teacher or administrator during our sliming ceremony! It was the perfect way to end an unforgettable week.
As we enter the final weeks of the school year, please keep in mind that end of year testing will begin soon. Also, with warm weather in the forecast this week, we ask that you please send your child with a water bottle each day to help them stay hydrated and cool.
Just a quick reminder- our next PTA meeting is this Tuesday at 6:30 PM in the library. We’d love to see you there! We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather today and that all the moms in our community felt loved and celebrated this Mother’s Day!
With gratitude,
Angela Gallegos
