REMINDER-NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 21
Learning at our new school
The pictures below show staff lunch AND first grade, kindergarten, and third grade students learning in their classrooms!
Arrival, Dismissal, and Parking
I am asking and encouraging families to use our car lane on Mansfield. During arrival, all students can be dropped off on Mansfield. In the afternoon, we will have students lined up by grade level to then enter cars on Mansfield.
Please....
-Pull all the way forward and watch for staff to wave you up
-Stop at all stop signs
-Cross only at crosswalk with staff member
Our busses also have STOP signs. If you do not want to wait behind the bus for car lane, then I encourage you to arrive on Mansfield.
If you have any questions, please ask one of our staff members in the morning or afternoon. They will be outside with a safety vest.
Thanks again for your patience with us and each other!

LEGO CLUB PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are looking for up to 3 parent volunteers to be team mentors for Bishop’s first ever FIRST Lego League Jr. teams! FIRST Lego League Jr. is a non-competitive, hands-on program which builds interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Teams of up to six students (grades 2-4) explore a new and exciting Challenge based on a real-world theme each year. Bishop will have 3 teams during the 2018-2019 season. Meetings will be held in the STEM Lab on Tuesdays and Fridays beginning February 19th through May 3rd from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM. All Bishop teams will be presenting their work at the FLL Jr. Expo on Tuesday, April 30th at Kendrick Lakes Elementary in Lakewood. Parents who wish to volunteer as a team mentor will be responsible for helping Mr. Valente coach our three teams and run meetings. You must be able to pass a background check with FLL Jr., be available for a mentor training on January 5th, and be able to attend team meetings and the Expo in April. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Valente.
