Dear Hopkins scholars, families, and staff:

December is finally here and, as the temperature drops, we have some exciting things coming up. Like always, you’ll find the latest Student Council information in this newsletter. Keep reading along to find out more. 🙂Student Council

The first-ever Fall Fun Day was a success! Students had fun in the bouncy house, playing games, and getting their faces painted. Thanks to all who came!

We had much fun at the second annual Winter Carnival. The booths were a success and we loved seeing everyone enjoying the evening!

Do you have a special talent you would like to showcase? Come to the talent show auditions during Royals Connect on Wednesday, December 11th! Auditions are limited to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Please come prepared with your music. Upon arrival, you will be added to a first come, first serve waitlist.

To audition for the talent show, sign up for Ms.Mesa’s SST (Found in Classlink). Those who signed up via SST will be given priority to audition first.

We are elated to announce that we will partner with Immigrants to Success to bring Culture Night back to Hopkins! This event will take place on January 27th. More information to come!

This month, we would like to highlight an extremely dedicated student council member who has gone above and beyond expectations. Senior and communications liaison Rose McNeil has been doing just that. Leading the Homecoming Pepfest committee and Winter Carnival, she put together a GroupMe with all the club leaders, as well as taking care of the logistics to get tables and prizes. “Rose has been a great leader for the winter carnival” says Ezra Wolfe, Junior representative and event planning co-chair. “I admire how she’s taken initiative, getting things done and having fun while doing so.” Her dedication to the council goes a long way and none of the student council events would be a success without her powerful leadership.

We are so grateful for your hard work! Thank you, Rose 🙂
