February 2025
Message From the Principal
It has been a great month here at Eagle Academy and we are looking forward to finishing the year strong! One of the focuses this month has been reviewing our student, staff and parent experience survey data.
I have had the chance to meet with students, staff and our parents to look at the survey data and to develop goals to help make our stakeholder's experience better! The biggest request from parents was to better understand the competency-based education your student receives. You spoke, and we heard you! See below for the brand-new EA Parent and Guardian Guide. Thanks for your feedback.
If you have other suggestions for topics to be covered in this newsletter, please reach out to me directly at sprengel.evan@westada.org or by calling 208-350-4220.
Wish you all the best,
Evan Sprengel
EA Guide
How to better understand the basics of Eagle Academy.
The first link will take you to a voice-over video presentation which will help explain our competency-based model, the student learning plan, and how to read the weekly Personalized Learning Profiles (PLP) reports. The second link is just the presentation if you prefer to read it instead.
We hope these resources helped answer any questions you may have about our system. If you have any further questions, please reach out to your student's mentor, or call our school at 208-350-4220.
Attendance Information
A message from our Secretary:
Hello Jaguar Students and Families,
Thank you, students so much for continuing to check in at the front office when you get to school late and also for checking out when you leave early. This helps EA keep track of your attendance in PowerSchool, so we (and your parents) know that you are safe and where you are supposed to be.
We also ask that parents/guardians call the front office to report their student's absence for the day.
Parents can call and leave a message for the Head Secretary/front desk of Eagle Academy at: 208-350-4220, or you can send an email to: young.crystal@westada.org
Thank you,
Mrs. Young
Data Corner
Each month this section will show the data behind all the hard work our students do.
Below are the year-to-date number of amazing EA graduates, the number of students who have PERFECT attendance this month (which we define as not missing any class period for the month), the number of positive acknowledgements students have earned. [Students earn positive acknowledgements by showing our school-wide behaviors expectations of "R.O.A.R.S." (Respect, Our best, Accountable, Responsible, and Safe)], and the credits earned by our students each month.
Ask your student if they are a part of any of these categories!
11 Total Graduates! (...and counting)
