Little Free Library

I am thrilled to announce the arrival of a Little Free Library at our school. Little Free Libraries have been popping up in neighborhoods all around the United States for several years now. The main idea behind the library is to take a book and leave a book that you no longer want in its place. Please see below for the rules governing our Little Free Library. I would also like to thanks Mr. Joe Belt for designing and creating ours! It looks wonderful and is located by the back entrance to our school near the mural.

CHECKING OUT / RETURNING BOOKS:

• The general rule is "Take One, Leave One.” However, if you don't have a book to exchange please feel free to borrow without leaving a book.

• Once you pick your book, make sure the door is securely closed in order to keep the books shielded from the elements.

• If a book is damaged, please do not put it back in the library.

• If the Little Free Library is full, please hold on to your book and try again later.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE BOOKS OUTSIDE OF THE LIBRARY.

• We accept donations of children’s books only. This means books that would be appropriate for grades K-6.

• If you see any questionable material or damage to any of the books or to the Little Free Library itself, please email waergler@fcps.edu as soon as possible.
