Family Newsletter
April 27, 2022
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone was able to carve out a little "family time" over our Easter break. As we look ahead, we only have six more weeks before we end this 2022-2023 school year. We look forward to the many upcoming events and celebrations these next six week's bring with them.
This coming Sunday, May 1, will be a very important day in the lives of our second grade students. Our second grade students will be receiving their First Holy Communion at the 10:00 Mass. For the very first time, these wonderful young children will be receiving Jesus for the very first time. Thank you, Mrs. Alioto, for all the work you put into preparing the students and making the day a very special one for the students and their families. Everyone is invited to join us this Sunday as we celebrate this important sacrament.
On May 7, our eighth graders will be receiving their third of the three Sacraments of Initiation....Confirmation! These young people have been preparing for this special day for two years. In addition to all the academic preparation, the students have also had to perform hours and hours of community service each month. Once they have received this sacrament, they are ready to take on more responsibilities as active participants within the church. Once again, many thanks to Ms. Vollert and Mrs. Wilson for preparing these future lay leaders in our church.
Please keep our second graders and our eighth graders in your prayers as they prepare to receive these two sacraments. Congratulations!
Another special event is one that we are bringing back after two years.....our "Parent ThankYou Reception." On Thursday, May 19 from 5:30 - 7:00 the faculty and staff will be hosting an hors d'oeuvres and wine party to say "Thank You" to you, our wonderful parents. We hope that you will mark your calendars and RETURN THE RSVP Invitation that went home with your child today. This reception is our way of saying, "Thank you, parents. We could not do all that we do without your participation, support, and thoughtfulness." We hope to see you on May 19 so we can offer our personal thanks to you.
