TIPS Journal May 4, 2022
on the school year so far
Greetings from Tokyo International Progressive School
Hello everyone, I hope the long weekend was fun!
It is with very mixed emotions that I announce our popular and highly skilled classroom teacher, Ms. Lisa Muntz, will be relocating to her home country of Australia this summer. I am extremely grateful for the contributions to the school that Ms. Muntz has made in the time she has taught at TIPS. We thank her for all she has done for students, parents and staff members alike. We wish Ms. Muntz well in her next endeavors. Good luck Down Under, Lisa!
Mr. Shane Cook, a native of the United States, will take a full-time classroom teacher position at TIPS from August. Mr. Cook comes to us very well recommended and with a solid learning support and curriculum development background. We welcome Mr. Cook to the TIPS community!
We have some surplus activity days on our calendar because the February ski trip days turned into academic days. We'll rectify this with two activity days, May 23 and June 6 called Spring Day Trips. Teachers will be giving you more information as we get closer to our first one, May 23.
As always, any questions, please ask!
All the best,
Lyn Sato
TIPS Principal
