Happy Friday-
I can not believe that we only have 23 more days with students. This year seems to have flown by! My hope is that we finish on a positive note with a Fied and Fun day celebration on June 13th. This will be a great reward for such a great school year.
There are a couple of things I want to touch base on, we need your support regarding behaviors we are seeing in the building. These behaviors are interrupting the learning environment. We have students posting on social media during the school day and texting one another creating and perpetuating drama. So many of the issues that we deal with in the office are tied directly to social media. We have had more physical aggression referrals in the last three weeks than the months previous. This is not how we solve problems. We are working to facilitate conversations allowing an opportunity for students to express their frustrations in a setting where all students feel heard with the hope of successfully resolving issues.
Do not get me wrong, we have great students! We continue to be dedicated to teaching and supporting all areas of learning. This can only happen when we have partnership with parents. We appreciate the support throughout the school year and look forward to continuing this school-family partnership for years to come.
Also, a HUGE THANK YOU to those that donated gifts for our teachers and even money towards the teacher lunch. It was wonderful to see our fantastic teachers celebrated! Donuts donated by VG's, coffee donated by Bigby, donuts and coffee from Tim Horton, cookies and coupons from Subway, cupcakes by Molly Cakes, a group that anonymously put together little gift bags of snacks and treats for each teacher, and on Friday, a free lunch with the Fry Guy. What a great week for a great staff!
We have lots of events coming up so please check out the calendar for all updates.
Have a fantastic week!

SUMMER SCHOOL
We are now collecting names of students that would benefit attending Summer School. Mrs. Baker, our At-Risk Liaison has been calling families to offer them the opportunity to participate in a great learning event. Please see the attached flyer below for additional information.
Mental Health Awareness Month
As we embrace the blooming flowers and warmer weather, it's the perfect time to focus on rejuvenating our minds, bodies, and spirits. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and Better Sleep Month. Here are some tips and insights to help you prioritize your well-being this month.
Embrace Outdoor Activities: Take advantage of the longer daylight hours and pleasant weather by spending more time outdoors. Whether it's going for a hike, a bike ride, or simply taking a leisurely stroll in the park, connecting with nature can help reduce stress, boost mood, and improve overall well-being.
Prioritize Sleep: With busy schedules and endless to-do lists, it's easy to neglect sleep. However, getting enough rest is crucial for both physical and mental health. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night by establishing a consistent bedtime routine and creating a restful sleep environment.
Connect with Others: Social connections are essential for well-being, so make an effort to nurture your relationships with friends, family, and loved ones. Whether it's scheduling regular phone calls, virtual meetups, or in-person gatherings, prioritize meaningful connections that bring joy and support into your life.

Sports Schedule
I wanted to touch base with you in regards to sporting event attendance. Students in the middle school must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to all games and have their ID or can show their information in StudentVue to get into the games for free. Students can not be dropped off and left without parent/guardian supervision. This is for all Clio sporting events. Also, when students attend the games they will need to be seated on the bleachers. This is for safety reasons and we are also at the game to cheer on our Mustangs.
