Welcome to the month of May! We made it through six (6) weeks of online learning. Even though, there were some initial difficulties, our students in K through 11th grade have stepped up to the plate and have been working very hard on all of their assignments. Team Success and the faculty is aware that this has been a quite stressful and overwhelming time for everyone involved. If you need any support, please reach out to the teachers or our counselors. They will be able to provide you with strategies and resources, so your family and student will end the school year successfully.

There are only 4 more weeks of school left. The last day of the 2019/20 school year will be Thursday, May 28,2020. Please remind your student to complete his/her assignments for all classes. Each assignment will be graded and counted towards attendance. Hence, there is the importance of submitting all assignments in a timely manner. We would like to avoid that students may potentially have to repeat a class. This is especially important for our high school students to earn credits for each course.

This spring, teachers faced unprecedented challenges, and they have risen to them with grace, care, and excellence. Their dedication has kept your children safe, engaged, and, most importantly, in community. Please reach out to your child's teacher and thank him/her for their committment and support.

If your child is currently a 6th grade student, he/she must get shots before entering 7th grade as required by the State of Florida. Please submit proof on the official State of Florida Immunization Form, DH680 or BLUE CARD. Your doctor's office or the Manatee County Health Department will document the immunization on this form. Following shots are needed:

* Tetanus, Diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap)

* Hepatitis B vaccine series

* Varicella vaccine or the year of disease

* Two doses of MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella)

Please keep in mind that the form DH680/BLUE CARD must be submitted to school before the first day of the new school year, August 10, 2020. Hanley Foundation is offering a FREE parenting class for parents with children ages 13-18. The program is 5 sessions and will be held on Tuesdays beginning on 5/5/2020 and ending on 6/2/2020. The classes will be held via Zoom from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. All materials needed for the course will be provided virtually and upon completion of the program, parents will receive a book with all topics discussed and a certificate of completion.
