Things to Know
Student Council Applications are open!
Applications for Student Council for the 2025-2026 school year have now opened. If you want to join Student Council or run for office, please grab an application from Mr. Coleman and return them by October 15th. This is the only way to become part of the organization, run for office, or be in the class. No late applications will be accepted, no exceptions.
Wrestling Interest Team
The Irmo Wrestling team interest meeting will be on Tuesday, September 24th from 4:00-4:30 in the cafeteria.
Student Council Spirit Night
Join Student Council at the Panera on Harbison on Oct. 1st from 4-8pm for a spirit night! 25% of all orders will go to support Student Council which supports everyone at Irmo. Just say that you are with Irmo StuCo when you place your order or show a flyer.

Sticker Contest
With just a few weeks until our football team takes on Dutch Fork, Student Council is excited to begin the Irmo v. Dutch Fork Sticker Design Contest. Contest rules are as follows: You must create your own, original design, it must be digital, and you can not mention death or dying. The theme for the game is blackout. Submit your designs via the form in your grade level google classroom. Voting will take place on October 15th. If your design wins, you will recieve 10 copies of your design and you get to host a pizza party for one of your classes! See Mr. Coleman or Peyton Tapp for more info. Happy designing!
S.C. High School Writing Contest
The S.C. High School Writing Contest is open to South Carolina high school juniors and seniors in public, private and home schools. Students will submit written works addressing the topic question, “How should we improve the state of South Carolina?”The entries of finalists and winners will be showcased by the South Carolina Honors College on its website. Cash prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250 will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners. More information is avaliable by clicking the image below.
College Fair
The Irmo High School Counseling Department is hosting the annual College Fair for current Juniors and Seniors on September 25, 2024 from 2:30-3:30pm.Approximately 70 colleges and universities from across the southeast will be in attedance. All juniors and seniors are encouraged to register for this event. By registering students will be allowed to efficiently share their contact information with representatives from the schools of their choice electronically. Please assist us in encouraging your junior or senior student to apply by clicking here here!
College Application Day
Seniors, please sign up to participate in College Application Day on Oct. 4th by choosing one block to attend. Multiple universities and military representatives will be available, take advantage of the resources and support provided on this day.
Paying for College
The How to Plan and Pay for College 101 webinar hosted by The College Funding Center. It is free to attend, and at this time of year, is most appropriate for families of all grade levels. Families who attend the webinar will be emailed an extensive handout package including many of the slides and other detailed information. Click the flyer below to register.
Transcripts
Students are now able to order updated transcripts reflecting the 24-25 school year, grade level, and class rank via Parchment. Any student not having an current Parchment account can create one using the link below using their PERSONAL email. All transcripts are free of charge for current Irmo High School students.
Yearbook
Order your 2025 Yearbook today! Visit ybpay.lifetouch.com and enter code 14792025. The deadline to order a yearbook is March 20, 2025. Price increases to $70 on January 15, 2025.

Senior Study Hall
Parents and Guardians of Seniors:
If your student has a senior study hall on their schedule you must complete the senior study hall form and return it to the attendance office in order for them to participate in a senior study hall.
Alive at 25
Alive at 25 courses are filling up quickly! Register your student at SCNSC.ORG/A25 to
reserve a space so they will be ready to purchase their parking pass this summer. By
registering your child for Alive at 25, they will receive comprehensive training on safe
driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and the importance of making
responsible choices behind the wheel.
Students must complete this course before they can be issued an Irmo High School Student Parking Pass.
Mike Moore Classic
Irmo XC is hosting the Mike Moore Classic again this fall and t-shirts are available to order August 19th - 25th in the D5 Student Quick Pay Portal. Please support our team and this great cause! The race will be held on September 14, 2024, from 8-11 am.

Free Hot Spots
The Richland County Public Library now provides free longterm Hot Spot Lending to qualify K-12 students in Richland County. Please see the flyer below for more information. Applications are available for pick up in the School Counseling Office.

Irmo Yellow Jacket Club
Support Irmo Athletics by joining the Irmo Yellow Jacket Club! Members can receive parking passes, tickets to regular season home games, and reserved seating, depending on membership tier. Join online today using the IYJC Membership Form or by downloading and returning this registration form to IHS or the Athletic Office.
