Coyote Connection
October 6, 2023
Dear Twin Oaks Elementary Families,
Happy Friday! We hope you've had a wonderful week. Here are some important updates and highlights from our school:
1. Early Literacy Training: This week, most of our K-3rd grade teachers participated in a valuable early literacy training. They focused on all the essential components that contribute to nurturing strong readers. We are excited to bring these new insights and strategies into our classrooms to support your child's literacy development.
2. Staying Safe in the Warmer Weather: With the warmer weather upon us, we continue to remind all students to take care of themselves while at school. Please encourage your child to rest if they feel too hot, monitor their activity levels while playing outside, and make sure they stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
3. Successful Student Store: We're thrilled to announce that our first Student Store event was a great success! We saw many smiling faces as students enjoyed the store. We know they'll be looking forward to the next one, so stay tuned for details on upcoming Student Store dates.
4. Family Friday Rescheduled: Please note that our Family Friday, originally scheduled for October 13th, has been moved to Friday, October 20th, due to parent-teacher conferences. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding this change.
5. Caregiver-Teacher Conferences: Caregiver-teacher conferences are just around the corner. We want to extend our gratitude to those who have already scheduled their conferences. If you haven't done so yet, please reach out to your child's teacher to set up a conference. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to discuss your Coyote's progress and goals.
6. Upcoming Schedule Reminder: A quick reminder that there will be no school for students on Monday, and starting Tuesday through Friday, dismissal times will be at 1:00 PM for TK and 1:25 PM for K-5th grade students.
We want to thank you for your continued support, involvement, and dedication to your Coyote's education. Your partnership with us at Twin Oaks Elementary is truly appreciated.
We hope you and your family have a fantastic weekend. Enjoy the time together, and we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming conferences and events.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Barragan-Su
