What's going on in the Art Department at BHS?
AP Studio Art students work in the Main Lobby!
Students have been hard at work on developing their portfolios for the year, mixing Observational drawing and painting with collage and expressive mark making!
Art Beyond the Classroom!
Mr. Taylor's ceramic 4 students visited The Cotuit Center for the Arts fabulous showcase of contemporary ceramics. Shout out to artist and curator Neil Grant for being such a such a gracious, generous, and inspiring host for the students!
The Ceramic Students got outside again to smoke fire their awesome terra sigillata whistles!

Isla Curley! BHS Student
Shout out to Isla Curley for her honorable mention in the NOAA Marine Art project! Isla's work was displayed last summer at the National Marine Educator’s Conference in Boston!
Carl Lopes! Retired BHS Teacher
Shout Out to Carl Lopes, who has a major retrospective show going up at the Cotuit Center for the Arts as well as a fabulous collaborative show finishing up at the Sandwich Glass Museum!

Fil Miguel's "Always Support the Bottom"
Fil's work was recently shown at Boston City Hall for a show called This is America 2 and is traveling to Newburyport for This is America 3 at The Peg Center for Arts and Activism!
