I’ve been thinking a lot about JOY this past week: It has been a delight to have Mounties fill our hallways with laughter and enthusiasm. Joy is one of the key values of our Founding order, the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur, who “in simplicity and joy, have offered all to God.”
At our school assembly this past Wednesday, I encouraged our students to choose joy this year. Certainly, there will be times during the year when things are not easy, and we become discouraged. However, when we seek joy, even in the small things, and try to be joy for others, we help God’s love and presence be made known. Looking forward to a wonderful, joy-filled year ahead!

Please continue reading below for important information from the MSM Health Office:
- Physicals must be submitted to the health office as soon as possible.
- If your daughter is playing a sport in the fall, a physical must be submitted to the MSM athletic website as well: Mount St. Mary Academy Athletics
- If your student takes any medication, over the counter or prescription, a doctor's order and parental permission must be submitted to the health office. This includes any medication they might be self- carrying such as Motrin etc.
- If your student reaches out to their parent/guardian and wants to be picked up, please tell them to seek medical attention first at school in the health office.
- If there are any specific medical concerns, parents/ guardians should contact the Nurse directly.

Parents can help with hospitality in the cafeteria and welcoming prospective families. Students can give tours, show off their team/club displays, and more.

As part of the LunchTime suite of software, the School Payment Portal is a safe, secure, and convenient way for parents and guardians to manage school lunch payments by tracking purchases, creating reminders, and setting up automatic payments.
The automatic payment portion is ready for you to set up your account and view your student's daily transactions.
If you do not wish to pay online and prefer to continue sending in money with your student, you can still create a username and password to track your student's purchases and see how much money is in the account.

Our First Mass of this school year will be celebrated on Thursday, September 12, on the Feast of the Holy Name of Mary. Mass will be in our chapel at 1:25 pm.
Sr. Lori High, SSMN, is excited to help plan this liturgy, but she is looking for some new student leaders who can help with Eucharistic Ministry.
If you are a practicing Catholic and have received your Confirmation, please consider this leadership opportunity.
Eucharistic Minister training will be offered next Monday, September 9, and Tuesday, September 10, from 2:45 pm to 3:05 pm in the chapel.
Come to either session! Even if you have already been trained at your parish, come for a quick refresher. Hope to see you there!
