The HMS Lady Sailors continue their excellent season! They are on a two-game winning streak, with wins against Glenside and Summit Hill last week!
Please cheer on your Lady Sailors in their final home game of the season, today, against Martinez Middle School in Romeoville. The game is on Bedford Park’s Field 1 and starts at 4:30.
Fall Sports
Congratulations to all the students who made cheerleading, basketball, or soccer! You can find all the rosters, schedules, and other information on the Athletics Website.
If you didn’t make one of the teams, no worries! The Cross-Country team is always looking for new athletes! Cross Country meets after school every day in the HMS gym. Please remember that you must register and have a current physical to participate.
Boys' basketball follows girls' basketball and will start around the end of September/ beginning of October. If interested, please look for additional information in the coming weeks.
We are looking to create an HMS bowling team and have already had some interest! If interested, please email the Athletic Director, Mr. Tucker, at rtucker@sd104.us.

Cooking With Children Nutrition Series
Washing your hands is the most effective way to prevent the spread of back to school bugs!
6th grade students must submit a current health exam and proof of immunizations by Tuesday October 15th in order to avoid school exclusion per Illinois State Board of Education school code. Thank you to those who have turned them in already!
IESA sports physicals are required for student athletes. They are to be updated annually as they are valid for 365 days. Sports physicals should be submitted to the athletic department.
The Loyola mobile van will return to Graves/HMS September 18th, 2024 & October 8th, 2024. Call the office for more information.
Please talk to your children about not sharing food at lunch in order to protect students with food allergies.
- When you send your student to school, you are attesting that your student is in good health and ready for learning. Follow these guidelines on when to return to school for our top three symptoms of illness:
-Fever (100.0 or higher): The student may return to school after being fever free 24hrs without fever reducing medication.
-Vomit: The student may return to school after being free of vomiting for 24hrs.
-Diarrhea: The student may return to school after being free of diarrhea for 24hrs.
