📣🙌🥳🎉 Staffing Updates & Celebrations
- Staff updates...
- Welcome to Gregory McCallum - Part-time SEC starting on 1/6/24 to join our special services team.
- Welcome to Riley Fleetwood who is covering for Ms. Ocasio for the next few weeks.
- Welcome back to Lilli Friedman who will be the LTS for Ms. Skwirut. You may remember that Ms. Friedman served as Ms. Lou's student teacher this past fall!
- Ms. Caitrin Cullington - Elementary Special Education Teacher - Will tentatively be starting on 1/21/24.
- Shout Outs...
- Thank you to the Sunshine Committee members and all who participated in the Baltz Cookie Exchange! What a yummy way to end 2024!
- Brilliant Bear - A Message from Mr. Lee to Nurse Clark - Congratulations Rachel!
- "I wanted to nominate someone who impacts all of the students here. But that didn’t narrow the list down very much. Then I thought of someone who not only deals with all of the students, but also deals with the students when they are not doing well. Not only does she take care of all the students here, but she is also here for all of us. Doing things like organizing events to get us all to roll up our sleeves to get a shot. And she is always first on the scene to bandage up a student when they were out on the playground doing something crazy. I think we can all appreciate all Nurse Clark does for this entire school! So for all these reasons, and many more! Rachel, this bear's for you!"
There is so much to celebrate! Please send bulletin shout outs to Jackie for posting (include "Shout Out" in the subject, thank you!)

Updated Staff Listing
RC Baltz/Email
We value clear and effective communication as part of our partnership. To ensure that emails are used appropriately and thoughtfully, this is a kind reminder to email Ms. Gallagher with requests to send email via RC Baltz. Classroom compliment events should be sent via Outlook to Baltz Admins only. Thank you.
Outlook
Every effort will be made by the admin team to calendar Baltz events through Outlook. If you receive a notification through Outlook, please accept it as a placeholder on your calendar. It may not mean that you are a required participant, but just that it is being shared to make everyone aware of what is happening in the building.
Baltz Bulletins - Family and Staff Editions
All pertinent information will be shared weekly via these newsletters. Staff should read the weekly bulletins to be informed of things happening within the Baltz community. Items below the revolving wheel have been previously posted, but remain there for reference.
Teacher Day and Attendance/Absence Procedures
Please be sure to call/text admin (all three of us) if you will be absent - thank you for your cooperation!
The teacher day is from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Staff must badge in and sign into the book outside of the mail room.
If you are leaving the building for any reason during the school day, please sign out and in through the office.
It is recommended that everytime you enter the building, you should badge in.
If you know you will be absent from school on a particular day or are going to be out because you are ill, please submit a substitute request in the AESOP system as soon as possible and enter the absence in DSC. If you are going to be absent last minute, please call/text administration to let them know for planning purposes and specify the duties you have.
¼ AM - Come in at 10:45
½ Day - Come in at 12:30 or leave at 12:30
¼ PM - Leave at 2:15
Plans for a substitute must be more detailed than your daily plans. Detailed plans for substitutes must be available by 8 a.m. on the day the substitute will be working. This will enable the substitute the opportunity to continue to provide effective learning experiences for your class while you are out. If you have your teacher’s editions of textbooks at home that are needed for the day, arrangements must be made for these necessary articles to be at school during your absence.
A Substitute Folder/Binder is required by each teacher that meets with children
(This includes homeroom, special education, RS/ELD, UA teachers)
