This week’s schedule was a bit different with a day off in the middle, but we were able to get back into our regular routine by Wednesday. Today, our 8th grade students had an opportunity to visit the Applied Technology Center (ATC) and explore the various courses they can take in high school.

We’re looking forward to honoring our veterans on Monday and celebrating World Kindness Day on Wednesday. Additionally, our 7th grade students will be attending a districtwide career fair, where they’ll learn about future career possibilities.

Leader in Me Overview

The "Leader in Me" Habit #2 is "Begin With the End in Mind" which encourages you to center your life on principles. Principles are timeless and universal.

This means that you plan ahead, you set goals and you do things that have meaning and make a difference. When you practice this habit, you know that you are an important part of your class, school, family and community.

We are celebrating Native American Heritage to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success.

In UP Buddies club this week, they made double names. Meaning an adjective with the same starting letter as their name

8th grade students met with a representative from the Medical Career Explorers' Program for lunch on Wednesday.

Students are working on writing equations in slope-intercept form and graphing equations. Students took their math work and created a stained glass with the equations.

Our Hurricane Helene Relief Drive was a huge success! Thank you to all who contributed. Raiders doing their part!

Our 8th Graders visited ATC on Friday to hear about all the programs offered at ATC.

Quarter 2 Progress Reports will be available to view in your Parent Portal account on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Within your Parent Portal account, you will find a Progress Report Verification Form to complete, indicating that you have viewed your child's grades. Instructions for accessing this form are below. Progress Reports provide a mid-term update on how your child is performing four and a half weeks into the grading quarter. If you have not yet created a Parent Portal account, instructions are available on our school website. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions regarding grades.

World Kindness Day is an annual event that encourages individuals to practice kindness in their daily lives. It highlights the importance of empathy, understanding, and cooperation to create a more harmonious and caring world.

The Beta Club will meet in the Media Center at 7:45am on Friday, November 15th

Save the Date! RRMS Winter Family Literacy Night!

December 10th @ 5 pm - 7 pm

• School Start Time: 8:15 a.m. Supervision begins at 7:45 a.m.
• Drop-Off Location: Car riders should be dropped off at the back of the school.
• Student Supervision: Staff will assist students from buses and cars to their grade-level hallways.
• Afternoon Dismissal: Please let your child know whether they will be a car rider or bus rider in the afternoon so we can direct them accordingly. Do not park in the Northwestern parking lot (near the baseball field) to wait for RRMS students.
• Cell Phones: No cell phones allowed during the school day. Students are not allowed to record or take pictures on school grounds, including the bus.
